Lepitre, widowed mother with 14 children, is the winner of the $8,000 house which the Gyro Club gave as a prize in a drawing held here last night. From her eldest son Samuel, who is in the Army, Mrs. Lepitre receives an allowance of $49 a month. With this money she has been feeding and clothing her nine youngest children. Mrs. Lepitre has not yet decided whether she will take the house of the $8,000 in war bonds which is the option offer.

Lucille Gratia Lepitre: The Province (Vancouver, BC), Friday, 6 June 2003: Lucille (nee Lepitre) Lackmance - Born May 27, 1921 in Vancouver. Passed away June 2, 2003 in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Predeceased in 2000 by her husband Fred, and by her brothers Sam and sisters Regina and Georgina. Lucille is survived by son Fred, Jr. (Eiko), grandchildren Naomi, Kenzo and Sara, brothers Bert, Charles and Matt, and by sisters Claudia (Frazer), Meloree (Thiess), Terry (Levett), Arpha (Barwise), Tina (Weiss) and Marie (Elliott). We would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Paul's Hospital, and all the nurses and staff at the Lionds Gate Palliative Care Unit. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, June 9 at 2 p.m. at Boal Chapel, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation in Lucille's memory.
Meloree Roseanne Lepitre: Vancouver Sun (BC), April 2006: (photo) Meloree Theiss, December 28, 1925 - April 17, 2006 Meloree passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital surrounded by her loving children. She is survived by four sons Douglas Sondrol (Elizabeth), Stephen Sondrol, Peter Fedyk (Deborah), Eirnest Fedyk (Katherine) and two daughters Diane Strepps and Rita Tanaka (Keith); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters and one brother. Predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, North Vancouver at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2006. Refreshments to follow.

Forever missed by devoted wife of 53 years Elva (nee Whitmore). Cherished children Adele (Bill) Jarvis of Kingston, Eric (Vicky) of Prince Edward Island, Therese `Terry' (Jean) Boutin of Kingston and Colleen (Michael) Wiebe of Vancouver. Beloved bird Polly. Always remembered by 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 13 brothers and sisters and all of his nieces and nephews. Loved by his sister-in-law Goldie Jordon and brother-in-law Clayton Whitmore. At the request of Joseph Charles there will be no visitation or service. Cremation to take place with a private family interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. In the care of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes.
Joseph Omer Adrien Jean Lepitre: Joseph Omer Adrian Jean Lepitre. Born on March 20, 1935, and passed away on April 25, 2002, after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased, by his wife Kathleen, parents Samuel and Regina Lepitre, brother Sam, sisters Regina and Georgina. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Virginia (Drew) Terry and their children David, Daniel, Thomas, and Micheal of Salt Lake City, Utah, Norman (Gianna) Lepitre and their children Bianca and Bradley of Penticton, Adrian Lepitre and his children Kristy and Jeramy, Leona David and her children Amy, Darcy and Carson of Penticton, Nancy (Micheal) Townsend and their children Nicole and Garrett of Courtenay, and Carmen (Doug) Peters of Gibsons. He is also survived by his brothers Bert, Matt, and Charles and sisters Meloree, Tina, Arpha, Marie, Claudia, Terry and Lucille. Omer, as he was known to all his friends and family, was the twelfth of fourteen children. He was born in Port Alice and grew up in Vancouver. He taught us all about loving life and family, something which we will never forget. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Helmer and the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassion and loving care. Memorial service was held on Sunday, April 28 in Courtenay, B.C. Thanks to all friends and family for attending.
