Lepitre, widowed mother with 14 children, is the winner of the $8,000 house which the Gyro Club gave as a prize in a drawing held here last night.  From her eldest son Samuel, who is in the Army, Mrs. Lepitre receives an allowance of $49 a month.  With this money she has been feeding and clothing her nine youngest children.  Mrs. Lepitre has not yet decided whether she will take the house of the $8,000 in war bonds which is the option offer.

- The Province (Vancouver, BC), Monday, 25 April 1977, p. 17:  (large family photo) Just family - The bond of family brought together the Lepitres Sunday - five brothers and nine sisters aged 36 to 60 raised in Port Alice - some of whom had never seen all their brothers and sisters before.  But when Mom, 80 and very ill, asked for what they fear may be her last request, to see all her children together for the first time, they readily obliged.  Gathering around mother, Regina Lepitre, in centre, are, from left, Marie Elliott, Squamish; Omer Lepitre, Summerland; Arpha van Berkel, Burnaby; Theresa Levett, England; Claudia Frazer, Maple Ridge; Lucille Lackmance, North Vancouver; Regina Shanks, Port Hardy; Sam Lepitre and Georgina West, Vancouver; Norbert Lepitre, Prince George; Meloree Fedyk, Vancouver; Charles Lepitre, Ontario; Matthias Lepitre, Maple Ridge; and Florentina Weiss, Squamish.
