Obituary: The Tampa Tribune (Tampa, FL), Friday, 23 March 1984: Robert Warren Peters, 58, of Ruskin, died Tuesday. He had lived in the Bay area since July, coming from Sarasota. He was a former resident of Louisville, Ky. The real estate broker was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II. He was a member of Kosar of Louisville, Ky., charter member of Sahib Temple of Sarasota, the Masonic Lodge of Mound, Minn., and the Kentucky Real Estate Board. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; a son, Michael P. Peters of Louisville, Ky.; three daughters, Jacquelyn Ann Porter, Barbara Marie Ruby, and Mary Pauline Peters, all of Louisville, Ky.; four sisters, Mildred Peters of Minneapolis, Dorothy Pilkington of Ashland, Ore., Anna Young of Wayzota, Minn., and Betty Powers of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren. Michael Patrick Peters: The Courier Journal (Louisville, KY), Monday, 22 May 2006: Peters, Michael Patrick, 56 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at his residence with loved ones by his side. He was born March 8, 1950 to Robert Warren and Audrey June Peters in Minneapolis, Minn. He was a decorated Marine having served in the Vietnam War. He was part owner of Kentucky Kustom Cycles; retired from the U.S. Postal Service, a graduate and on the Deans list of the University of Louisville; loved his dogs and cats, and riding his motorcycles. Most of all he loved his wife and family. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Robert Peters; his father, and both maternal and paternal grandparents. Michael is survived by his wife, Susan Peters; son, Daniel Peters; stepson, Christopher Ridge (Jenni); stepdaughter, Lyndsay Stevenson (Manny); mother, Audrey Peters; three sisters, Jackie Bridwell (Bob), Barbara Ruby (Robert), Mary Merker (Russell); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Peters will be Celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Shepherdsville. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks. Mr. Peters will be cremated after his services. Memorial Gifts may be made to St. Jude Hospital, Memphis, TN.
