Obituary: Dingwell Funeral Home (Souris,
PEI): Gertie Peters d. October 15, 2007: Peacefully at
the Colville Manor in Souris on Monday, October 15, 2007 of Gertie Peters
(nee Gallant) aged 98 years. Beloved wife of the late Reggie
Peters. Born August 14, 1909 she was the daughter of the late
Alfred and Ursula (nee Gallant) McCormack. Loving mother of the late
Joseph "Joey" Peters. Survived and sadly missed by her
daughter-in-law Therese Peters and grandchildren Alan, Sheryll, David,
Gregory, Tammy, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Lovingly remembered by her sisters Florence (the late Elmer) Gallant, Dorothy
(the late Les) McCaull and brother Fred (Mary Ellen) McCormack and numerous
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Margaret, Laura, Mary,
Tillie and by brothers Jack, Ernie and Angus. Resting at the
Dingwell Funeral Home Souris for visiting hours on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm
and Thursday morning from 9:00 am until time of the funeral. Funeral to be
held Thursday morning from St Alexis Church Rollo Bay with funeral mass to be
celebrated at 10:30 am. Cremated remains to be interned in the church
cemetery at a later date. If so desired donation to the Colville Manor
would be appreciated.
