Obituary:  Star Tribune (Minneapolis, MN), Friday, 19 September 1980:  Ray Peters Sr., age 69, Minnetonka Beach, suddenly on Wed. Sept. 17th.  Preceded in death by wife, Julia.  He is survived by son, Ray Peters, Jr. & daughter-in-law, Karen, of Minnetonka Beach; son, Ronald & daughter-in-law, Molly of Wayzata; 7 grandchildren, Terry, Leslie, Jennifer, Katie, Jedd, Sally, & Brock Peters; sister, Mrs. Vincent Young of Wayzata; sister, Mildred Peters of Delano; sister, Mrs. Betty Powers of Bell, California; sister, Mrs. Dorothy Pilkington of Ashland, Oregon; brother, Robert Peters of Louisville, Kentucky; & many other relatives & friends.  Visitation on Friday from 5 to 9 at Retinger Funeral Home in Long Lake.  Services Saturday at 1 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake.  Interment at Chrict Lutheran Cemetery in Maple Plain.  Memorials to the American Cancer Society of the American Heart Association.
