Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Tuesday, 26 September 2000:  (photo) Raymond E. Pete.  Old Town and Alton - Raymond E. Pete, 79, passed away quietly at his home in Alton, Sept. 24, 2000.  He was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Berlin, N.H., a son of Maude Ketchen.  Raymond was a World War II veteran and a life member of VFW Post 3381 of Old Town, and a lifetime member of Holy Family Parish.  He was a supervisor at the Bangor Post Office, retiring with more than 20 years of service.  He was an avid bowler and represented Central Maine Flying Service in tournaments for more than 25 years in Maine and Massachusetts.  He was known for his quick wit and many jokes.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lynette; his children, Arthur Pete and his wife, Janet, Leo Pete and his wife, Jeanine, Donald Pete, Paulette and her husband, Joey Theriault, all of Milford, Bob Pete of Plainville, Conn., Debbie and her husband, Bill Sibley of Old Town, Ray Pete and his wife, Debbie of Carmel; two sisters, Pauline and her husband, Paul Agrell of Crawford, Shirley and her husband, Lee Leland of Alton; 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; seven step-children, David, Jeff and Tom Michaud, all of Alton, Leo Michaud and his wife, Jesse of Milford, Marie Smith of Putnam Station, N.Y., Ann Canas of Stafford, Va., Tim Michaud and his wife, Aimee of Warwick, R.I.; eight step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild.  He was predeceased by his first wife of 30 years, Pauline (Guay) Pete in 1974; and a stepson, Bob Michaud.  Friends may call at the Birmingham Funeral Home, Old Town, from 1 p.m. Tuesday until time of departure for the church.  A VFW Chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 3 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Parish with the Rev. Normand Richard, celebrant.  After cremation, a graveside committal will be conducted by Pastor Maria Guereca at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's memory can be made to the Holy Family Parish Building Fund, Old Town; or to New Hope Hospice, Holden.

Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Wednesday, 16 January 1974:  Old Town - Pauline L. Pete, 52, of 298 Water St., died Jan. 15 in a Bangor hospital after a long illness.  She was born in Mexico Sept. 7, 1921, daughter of Paul and Josephine (Martin) Guay.  She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and had worked in local shoe shops as well as for LaBree's Bakery.  Surviving, besides her parents of Lynn, Mass., are her husband, Raymond, Old Town; five sons, Authur, Bradley, Robert, New Britain, Conn., Leo, Milford, Donald and Ray, both of Old Town; two daughters, Mrs. Paulette Therriault, Milford and Mrs. Deborah Michaud, Old Town; three brothers, Leo, Old Town, Edward, Harrison, and Robert, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Rose Devine, Lynn, Mass.; 15 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Church Thursday at 10 a.m.  Remains will be entombed in Lawndale Cemetery to wait Spring burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Baillargeon Funeral Home, Old Town, Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m.

Arthur R. Pete:  Milford and Canton - Arthur R. Pete, 73, of Milford, passed away in his home on March 18, 2016, after a long struggle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.  Art was born on April 28, 1942, the son of Raymond and Pauline (Guay) Pete.  He had 6 younger siblings.  Art enjoyed a 45-year career at the University of Maine, holding a number of different positions where he applied his passion for innovating using computers and technology.  He retired in December 2014 as a lab coordinator for Crosby Laboratory.  Art was married on April 20, 1963, (52 years) to Janet M. Pete (Nickerson), with whom he shared a love for the outdoors, constructing various camps, geocaching and spending time with family.  He is survived by 4 sons, Scott A. Pete and Gabriela of Minnesota, Paul E. Pete and wife, Maria, of Lewiston, Guy E. Pete of South Berwick and Todd E. Pete and wife, Colleen, of Bedford, NH; and grandchildren, William Garrett, Johnathan, Caroline and Michael of Minnesota, Matthew and Jason of Bangor, Makayla and Allissa of Lewiston, and Owen of Bedford, NH.  Art created many wonderful memories that will be remembered and cherished by his family and friends, who will miss him dearly.  As desired by the family, services will be private.  Those who wish to remember Art in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Stillwater Federated Church, Stillwater, ME.

Leo John Pete:   Milford-Milford - On June 13, 2014 Leo John Pete went home to be with his lord.  Leo was born on September 6, 1944 in Old Town, the son of Raymond E. and Pauline (Guay) Pete.  Leo was a much loved teacher of English and Director of Adult Education for 32 years before he transitioned to his second love of working with computers.  He became the sales manager for a computer store where he was affectionately known by many as the "Old Man".  Leo was very involved in his church where he encouraged fellow worshipers with a "moment of manna" and quoting a favorite scripture, "This is the day that the lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it".  Leo is survived by his wife of 46 years Jeannine (Soucie) Pete, son and daughter-in-law, David and Trisha Pete of Old Town, daughter, Jennifer Pete of Bradley, and son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Danielle Pete of Greenville, South Carolina, four grandchildren, Brandon Emerson, Rhiannon and Caroline Pete, Evangeline Pete, four brothers, Arthur and Janet Pete, Robert Pete, Donald Pete, Ray and Debbie Pete, two sisters, Paulette and Clarence Theriault, and Debbie and Bill Sibley, and several nieces and nephews.  Leo's family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Orono Commons for the loving care he received.  A memorial celebration of his life will be held at Pathway Wesleyan Church, Bangor on Friday, June 27th at 6pm.
