From note on findagrave site:  Resida died from strychnine poisoning after poisoning both his sons with strychnine - info from Polk County death record book.  Buried in Potter's Field, Grand Forks County, North Dakota.

 

Death notice:  The Minneapolis Star (Minneapolis, MN), Tuesday, 5 April 1932 - Tabor, Minn., April 5 - Resida Lajambe, 35 years old, and his two small sons, Wallace, 4, and Robert, 2, were dead here today from drinking milk in which poison had been placed by the father.  The bodies were found in bed in their home Monday night.  In a farewell note to his wife the father admitted giving the boys poisoned milk and then drinking some himself, Coroner Nelson said.

- Dallas Morning News, Wednesday, 6 April 1932 - Tabor, Minn., April 5 - A father and two small sons were dead Tuesday, victims, the coroner said, of poison placed in milk by the farmer.  The dead were Resida Lajambe, 35; Wallace, 4, and Robert, 2 1/2, whose bodies were found in bed in their home Monday night.  H.E. Nelson, Polk County coroner, said it appeared the father gave the boys the poisoned milk and then drank some himself.  Beside his bed was found a bottle containing poison and a farewell note to his wife.  Friends said the family had been torn by domestic troubles.  Lajambe was a cream buyer.  His wife was away on a visit.

- Mary remarried in August 1934 to Leonard Duncan Van Horn (1911-1975).  She died in 1986, no further children.
