Obituary:  Massena Observer (NY), Thursday, 3 April 1952, Brasher Center:  Peter LaShomb, 82, who died in Antwerp Mar. 27, was a former resident of this town but has resided in Antwerp for many years.  His parents were Peter and Myra LaShomb.  He is survived by his wife and one brother, Bert LaShomb, Brasher Falls.

Misc:  His father's will mentions that he is to receive $200, November 1904.

- Watertown Daily Times (Watertown, NY), Thursday, 8 November 1923:  Antwerp, Nov. 8 - John Mallett died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Peter Lashumb of Antwerp, Nov. 7, aged 84 years.  He had been ill for several months.  He is survived by three children, Eugene Mallett, Vina Getman and Mrs. Millie Lashumb, with whom he made his home; also one stepson, T. P. Miller of Alexandria Bay.

- Watertown Daily Standard (NY), Thursday, 20 August 1925:  Antwerp, Aug. 20 - Peter Lashumb, who has been the proprietor of a restaurant and billiard parlor here for the past several years, has been forced to rent his business to Charles Moore, because of illness.  Mr. Lashumb together with his wife will seek a change of climate.

- Watertown Daily Times (Watertown, NY), Friday, 16 November 1928: Antwerp, Nov. 16:  Mr. and Mrs. Peter LaShumb left this week for Miami, Florida, where they will spend the winter months.

- Watertown Daily Times (Watertown, NY), Monday, 25 March 1946:  Antwerp, March 25:  Pfc. Willard E. Tooley and Angeline Tooley have purchased the retail liquor store business of Peter and Mildred Lashumb in Antwerp.  Private First Class Tooley and Mrs. Tooley took possession on March 20th.

- Tribune Press (Gouverneur, NY), Wednesday, 23 July 1952:  Mrs. Mildred LaShumb had as her guests for the past week her niece, Mrs. Ruth Benjamin from North Syracuse, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hahn and three children from Buffalo and her brother, Eugene Mallett of Carthage.  Mrs. Mildred LaShumb spent last Wednesday in Watertown.  Mrs. LaShumb also spent one day recently at the home of Dr. and Mrs. F. Allen of Richville.

- Tribune Press (Gouverneur, NY), Thursday, 2 September 1954:  Burt LaShumb and son Roy of Brasher Falls spent Saturday afternoon with his sister-in-law Mrs. Mildred LaShumb of Depot street.  Eugene Mallett and Mrs. Jennette Kinchwater of Carthage spent Sunday with his sister Mrs. Mildred LaShumb.

- Tribune Press (Gouverneur, NY), Thursday, 5 November 1953:  Mrs. Mildred LaShumb left last Monday for Miami, Florida to spend the winter.

- Watertown Daily Times (Watertown, NY), Thursday, 15 November 1956:  Antwerp Briefs - Mr. and Mrs. John A. Clement left Tuesday for Miami, Fla., where they will spend the winter.

- Watertown Daily Times (Watertown, NY), Friday, 8 February 1963:  Mrs. Mildred Clement, Depauville road, Antwerp, widow of John Clement, is in good condition at Mercy hospital where she was admitted Wednesday suffering from bronchitis.

- Obituary:  The Tribune Press (NY), Wednesday, 13 May 1964:  Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred LaShomb Clement, 85, widow of John Clement, who died unexpectedly at her home on Depot St., Antwerp, Wednesday afternoon, were held Saturday at the family home with Rev. Edgar O. Spaven, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating.  Burial was in Hillside cemetery.  Surviving are nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mrs. Clement was born in the town of Orleans Aug. 22, 1878, daughter of John and Abbie Sargent Mallette.  She was married to Peter LaShomb Dec. 24, 1898, at Norwood.  The couple operated a restaurant in Antwerp 22 years.  Following Mr. LaShomb's retirement they spent winters in Florida.  Mr. LaShomb died March 27, 1952.  Mrs. LaShomb continued to spend her winters in Florida and was married there to John Clement about ten years ago.  Mr. Clement died five years ago.
