Obituary: The Windsor Star (Windsor, ONT), Monday, 4 February 1952: Mrs. Catherine Pitre, 55, wife of Joseph Pitre, 2904 Sandwich street west, died yesterday in Hotel Dieu Hospital after an illness of seven months. Mrs. Pitre was born in St. Alexis, P.Q., and came to Windsor 18 years ago from Detroit. Besides her husband, survivors are a son, Joseph L. Pitre, of Royal Oak, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Marie Bertha) Knibbs, also of Royal Oak, and a brother, George Lebrun, of Campbellton, N.B. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Wednesday from Janisse Brothers Funeral Home, to Assumption Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. There will be prayers at 8 p.m. today and Tuesday at the funeral home.
