Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet, 28 November 1982:  Percy Pitre, 75, a resident of Cut Off, died at 2:40 a.m. Saturday (27th).  He is survived by his wife, Orica Rouse Pitre; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Guilibou and Mrs. Linda Dufrene; three brothers, Paul, Anthony and Eads Pitre; three sisters, Mrs. Richess Theriot, Lillian Lefort and Thelma Rodriquez; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  He is preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Leo Pitre; and a sister, Mrs. Edith Curole.  Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is handling the arrangements.

Obituary:  Thibodaux Daily Comet, 1 November 2001:  Oricia Rousse Pitre, 93, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off, died at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Cut Off.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with burial in the church cemetery.  She is survived by two daughters, Lois P. Guilbeau and Linda P. Dufrene; two sisters, Mercedes Pitre and Rose Adams; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy E. Pitre; her parents, Etienne and Claudia Chouest Pitre; one infant son; five brothers, Harrison, Maurice, Clovis, Cleophas and Nolan Rousse; and two sisters, Marcelette Guidry and Lorina Rousse.  She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
