Obituary: The Courier (Houma, LA), Thursday, 3 February 1994: Orleans P. "Tom" Pitre, 77, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1994. Visitation will be from noon to funeral time today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. Mass will be at 2 p.m. at the church with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife, Adeline Pitre of Cut Off; one son Ricky Pitre of Louisville, Colo.; one daughter, Tanya Schreiber of Houma; one brother, Harris Pitre of Cut Off; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lisa Adams Pitre; three brothers, Fedless, Edless and Loveless Pitre; and three sisters, Thea Guidry, Edola Gisclair and Frances Guidry. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA): A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Adeline Marie Pitre, 79, a native and resident of Galliano, who died at 7:20 a.m. Dec. 10, 2000. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time at the church. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. She was the mother of Ricky Pitre and Tanya Schreiber; and sister of Eugene and Dudley Pitre and Ophelia Lafort. She is also survived by three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orleans Pitre; parents, Elfer and Romalie Lafont Pitre; and sister, Georgette Pitre. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
