- Chicago Daily News (Chicago, IL), Friday, 2 April 1897: Horse's Foot in a Cable Slot - The north side street-car line was tied up for a few minutes early in the morning. A horse attached to an express wagon and driven by Edward Lasham got his shoe caught in the cable slot on Dearborn street and it was with considerable difficulty that the animal's foot was extracted. Lasham was thrown from his wagon and sustained slight injuries.
- Chicago Tribune (IL), Saturday, 6 May 1905: Lasham, Edward, president of Edward Lasham Teaming company, 188 Franklin street; severely beaten by union teamsters at Madison and Union streets because he could not show union button.
- Daily Illinois State Journal (Springfield, IL), Thursday, 8 October 1925: Chicago - Liquors valued at $75,000 were seized by prohibition agents today in a raid on the Edward Lasham warehouse. No arrests were made.
- Chicago Tribune (IL), Sunday, 25 October 1936: On last Sunday's real estate page it was stated that Joseph Lasham founded the Lasham Cartage company in 1901. A relative of Almon W. Morton writes The Tribune that Morton founded the company and ten years ago sold the business to the present owner. Joseph Lasham states he was one of the partners of Morton in the founding of the Edward Lasham Teaming company. The late Edward Lasham, a brother of Joseph, also was financially interested, he said.
