Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), October 1998: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Rosalie Vizier Pitre, 78, a native and resident of Cut Off, who died at 10:19 a.m. Oct 13, 1998. Visitation will be 9 to 11 am. Friday. Burial will be at the church cemetery. She was the mother of Logan Pitre of Cut Off; foster mother of Mrs. Charles "Rose" Marino of Navarre, Fla.; and sister of Ivy Vizier of Galliano. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nero Maurice Pitre; parents, Clovis and Palmire Guidry Vizier; brothers, Belamie, Lonie and Clovis Vizier Jr.; and sisters Elodie Callais, Ezola Curole and Victoria Callais.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Funeral services will be at noon Monday at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off. He is survived by his son, Logan John Pitre Jr.; three daughters, Linda Pitre Danos and husband Dale Danos, and Tammy Pitre Luke and husband Jody Luke; sister, Rosalie Lackey Marino and husband Charles Marino; three grandchildren, Brandie Luke Terifaj and husband Mark, Bradley Luke, Elizabeth Danos and fiance Cody George. He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Brunet Pitre; and parents, Nero and Rosalie Vizier Pitre. Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
