- 1915 - 2005 Shediac, NB - Eva Marie Bourgeois-Aube, 89, of the Villa Providence Home, Shediac and formerly of Moncton passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at the Villa Providence. Born November 13, 1915 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Pitre and the late Georgina Cormier. She was a retired registered nurse at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. She was a past member of the Beausejour Curling Club, past president of the Ladies Business Ass. and a charter member of the Registered Nurses of New Brunswick. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth-Ann Bourgeois and Paulette Catalli (Franco) all of Moncton; two sisters, Mary-Theresa Foster of Thunder Bay, ON., Muriel Chan (Dick) of Richmond, B.C.; three brothers, Henry Pitre (Marjorie), Edouard Pitre (Dolores), and Paul Pitre (Jean) all of Moncton; a sister-in-law, Rita Trites; a daughter-in-law Bernice Bourgeois also of Moncton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Adrien Bourgeois (1973), her second husband, Martin Aube (2004); one son, Donald (1988); two brothers, Neri Pitre (1944) and Jean-Marie (1998); and by one grandchild, Andreo Catalli (1974). Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., Moncton on Sunday, April 10 from 7 to 9p.m. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral mass. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2005 at the Assumption Cathedral Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Dieppe. In her memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of N.B. or to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation.

Deacon Henry Pitre, 93 years, of Moncton passed away at Auberge du Soleil
Senior's Home, on Saturday, June 22, 2013. Born in Moncton September 3,
1919 he was the son of the late Joseph and Georgina (Cormier) Pitre.
Rev. Pitre was a Veteran of the second world war and served as a wireless
operator with the Royal Corps of Signals until November 1946. He is a
member of The Canadian Legion Branch #6. In 1982 after being employed by
Uniroyal limited for thirty three years, he elected early retirement to pursue
his studies leading to his ordination to the Permanent Diaconate. His
studies were done at CIC under Father Bernard Sloan who was a professor for six
and a half years at the "Grand seminary de St. Sulpice" in Montreal. He
also did some studies during the summers at the Atlantic School of Theology and
at The University of Cape Breton. He was the first permanent Deacon to be
ordained for the Archdiocese of Moncton by Archbishop Donat Chaisson on June 30,
1987. He served as Associate Pastor at St. Augustines Parish from 1987 to
1993. Since then he has been ministering at St. Bernards Parish. He
was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and a Charter member of The Moncton
Seniors Amateur Radio Club. Survived by sons Gerard (Sharon) of
Moose Jaw, Sask, and Kevin (Elly) of Kamloops BC; daughters Bernadette
(Grant) Pohl of Moose Jaw, Sask, and Elaine (Guy) Theriault of
Moncton, NB; sisters Mary Theresa of Thunder Bay, ON, and Muriel
of Vancouver BC; brothers Paul (Jean), Edward (Dolores) both of Moncton;
eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Besides his parents
he was predeceased by his first wife Sybil Fraser in 1960; his second
wife Marjory (Parsons) Pitre in 2010; sister Eva in 2005; brothers
Neri during the second world war and Jean Marie in 1998.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, on Tuesday June 25,
2013 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. The Royal Canadian Legion
Branch #6 will be holding a prayer service Tuesday at 3:50pm. The Parish
of St. Bernard's and the Knights of Columbus will be holding a prayer service at
the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8:40pm. The funeral mass will be held
at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Botsford St. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013
at 10:00am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in
St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery. The family wish to thank the entire
staff of the Auberge de Soleil Senior’s Home, especially to Nurse Gisele, Robert
and Michael. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten.

Joseph Odilon Paul Pitre: Paul Odilion Joseph Pitre of Riverview passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Georgina (Cormier) Pitre. Paul was retired from the Dept. of Transport, Fredericton Airport, having been posted in many locations including the Arctic and Goose Bay. He was an avid collector. His collections included model aircrafts, coins and stamps. He also enjoyed travelling in his spare time. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Jean (Lewis); daughters, Sharron Willmer (Terry) of Spruce Grove, AB, Cathy Mazerolle (Mark) of Calgary, AB, Linda Daniels (Ralph) of New Hampshire, Ann Scaplen (David) of Goose Bay, NL; step daughters, Lynn Colepaugh (Chris) of Riverview, Stacey Atkinson (David) of Ottawa; sisters, Marie Therese Foster of Thunder Bay, Murielle Chan of Richmond, BC; brother, Edouard (Delores) of Moncton, seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his first wife, Beatrice; son, Peter; brothers, Henri, Neri, Jean-Marie and a sister, Eva Bourgeois. A private family visitation will take place on Wednesday from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview. A service celebrating Paul’s life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 11am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Donations made to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Edouard Joseph Pitre: Edouard "Eddie" Pitre, 85,
of Moncton, passed away on Monday October 5, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
UHC. Born on April 11, 1930 in Moncton, he was the son of the late
Joseph and Georgina (Cormier) Pitre. Eddie was the founder and
president of Évaluations Edouard Pitre Appraisals Ltd. in 1979 (AACI). He
was a former employee of the Federal Department of Transportation for 20 years,
commissioner of Codiac Transpo board of directors, member and president of the
Moncton West Riverview Rotary Club and recipient of two Paul Harris awards,
member of the Moncton Headstart board of directors, vice-president of the
Greater Moncton Sewage Commission for 24 years, member of the Caisse Populaire
Lewisville board of directors for 15 years and member of the finance committee
of Christ-Roi parish. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dolorès (Melanson);
four children: Monique Brisson (Claude), Eric, Charles and Marc (Manon);
two grandsons: Marc-André (Meghan) and Jérémie; one great-grandson,
Jack; two sisters: Marie-Thérèse Foster and Muriel Chan; many nieces
and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Eva; four brothers:
Neri, Jean-Marie, Henry and Paul. The family will receive
condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton
Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated
at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Saturday October 10,
2015 at 10:30 am. A reception will follow at the funeral centre.
Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium, Moncton. In memory of Eddie, a
contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) or to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated.
