Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA): A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. today at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose for Numa Ernest Pitre, 76, a native and resident of Cut Off, who died at 9:44 a.m. Wednesday, June 14 (1995). Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was the husband of Earline Rita Toups Pitre; father of Curtis Joseph Pitre, Jackie Pitre Martin and Janet Sanamo; stepfather of Sandra Chabert; brother of Joey Pitre, Elda Duet and Elvira Punch. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elie and Melanie Pitre; two brothers, Eugene and Alexie Pitre; and a sister, Elmire Pitre. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary and a U.S. Army veteran. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

of Galliano, died at 3:45 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008. Visitation will be
from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off.
Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in
Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Larose. She is survived by one son,
Curtis Pitre and wife, Darlene; one daughter, Jackie P. Martin; one
sister, Rose Pierce; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and
one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Numa Ernest Pitre; her parents, Ramie Sr. and Angelina Gisclair Toups;
one daughter, Sandra A. Chabert; four brothers, Leonise, Lodess, Ramie
Jr. and David Toups; two infant brothers; and four sisters, Alescia
Bouffanie, Willavia Chiasson, Leona Anselmi and Noiscia Duet. She was
Catholic. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of
arrangements.
