Obituary:  Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ), Friday, 11 August 1978:  LePitre, Melven J.  Surv. by wife: Gertrude, 5 sons: Melvin, Tim, Arthur, Leroy, and Dan of Illinois, 2 daughters: Sandra Tinnes of Illinois, Clara Rangel of Scottsdale, 1 sister: Blanch Corsor of Illinois, 15 grandchildren.  Private services will be held Saturday in Scottsdale.  Arrangements by Green Acres Mortuary, Scorrsdale.

- Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ), Saturday, 12 August 1978:  Melvin J. LePitre, 58, who was in transit to reside in Scottsdale, died Aug. 8, 1978, in Shamrock, Texas.  Mr. LePitre, who was a disabled veteran and a member of the American Legion, volunteered for the Veterans Administration as a singer.  He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; two daughters, Sandra Tinnes and Clara Rangel; five sons, Melvin, Tim, Arthur, Leroy and Dan; 15 grandchildren and a sister.  Private services will be held.

- Berwyn Life (Berwyn, IL), Sunday, 11 September 1955:  Ruth Lepitre, 31, of Orland Park, suffered internal injuries when the car she was driving struck a parked car owned by Patrick Horgan, 2818 Austin blvd., in front of the Horgan home Wednesday, Cicero police said.  The Lepitre car was traveling south on Austin blvd.  The woman, who was taken to MacNeal Memorial Hospital, told police the steering mechanism on her car locked, forcing the car to the right.

Obituary:  Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ), Tuesday, 1 April 2008:  Gertrude LePitre age 85, passed away on March 25, 2008.  She is survived by her children, Tim Jensen (Caroline), Shirley Grzelak (Edward), Arthur Jensen (Betty) & Claire Rangel.  Also 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bud and son LeRoy Jensen.  Her visitation will be on Tuesday April 1st from 5-8PM at Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale with Funeral Mass at St. Daniel's Catholic Church in Scottsdale at 10AM on Wednesday April 2nd.

Robert Alan Lepitre:  Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ), Friday, 12 September 1969:  (Summary)  Robert Allen Lepitre 28 (of 2310 E. Roosevelt), and a possible accomplice, attempted to rob the night clerk at the Kon Tiki Hotel.  Lepitre was carrying a long-barrelled 22-caliber revolver.  Lepitre, who was shot three times by the night clerk then attempted to flee, had a previous arrest record for carrying a concealed weapon and for traffic violations.

- Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ), Friday, 11 September 1970:  In memorium - Robert Alan LePitre.  We are not dead until forgotten.  How calm they sleep beneath the shade who once were weary of this drive and bent, like us, beneath the load of human life.  Family.

 

Dan Lepitre:  Chicago Sun Times (IL), Wednesday, 13 July 2005:  Dan LePitre - LePitre, Dan age 55, of Midlothian, beloved husband of Kimberly (nee Koris), loving father of Roy, Danielle, Sabrina, Dawn, Heidi and Tami, dear step-son of Gertrude, beloved son of the late Ruth and Melvin.  Family and friends to gather Thursday, July 14th, for 11 a.m. memorial service at First Baptist Church, Midlothian.
