native and resident of Cut Off, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Visitation
will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
Cut Off. Mass will be held at noon Friday at the church, with burial in
the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Larry Pitre and wife,
Coreen; one daughter, Lydia Brugier and husband, Bill; two brothers,
Eddie and Edward Pitre; one sister, Hazel Redmond; six
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Pitre; her parents,
Mark and Judith L. Pitre; two brothers, Clarence and Mark Pitre; and
one grandchild. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

resident of Terrytown, died Sunday,
April 13, 2014. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time
Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will
be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic
Church cemetery. He is survived by his son, Elrod J. Pitre;
daughter, Lisa Pitre Guevara; brother, Edward Pitre; sister,
Hazel P. Redmond; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He
was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Gros Pitre; parents, Mark
Pitre and Judith Lefort Pitre; son, Robert John Pitre; daughter,
Elaine Mary Pitre; brothers, Clarence and Mark Pitre; and sister,
Edith Pitre Pitre. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge

Clarence Pitre: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Tuesday 11 July 2006: Clarence 'Sue' Pitre, 75, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Cut Off, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2006. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Randy Pitre and wife, Charlotte, and Troy G. Pitre and wife, Rozanna; three brothers, Edward, Eddie and Mark Pitre; two sisters, Edith Pitre and Hazel Redmond; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merita Guidry Pitre; his parents, Mark and Judith Lafort Pitre; and one grandson, Ronnie J. Pitre. He was a retired bus driver for Lafourche Parish School Board for 19 years and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a past member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mark John Pitre: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Friday, 2 July 2010: Mark John Pitre, 74, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his wife, four sons and wives, and two of his grandchildren on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Terrebonne General Medical Center after a brief illness. Beloved husband of 51 years to Leafy Robichaux Pitre, four sons and their families, Darren and Harriet Adams Pitre, Jamie and Menta Landry Pitre, Corey and Armida Digiambattista Pitre, and Marc and Pam Duplantis Pitre; loving grandfather to Ryan, Leslie (Doucet), Ashtyn, Taylor, Christopher, Jude and Matthew Pitre; and two great-grandsons, Luke and Jake Pitre, all who lovingly referred to him as "Pa." In addition to numerous nieces and nephews who simply called him "Uncle Pete," he is further survived by his two brothers and two sisters, Eddie and Edward 'Wood' Pitre, Hazel Pitre Redmond and Edith Pitre Pitre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Edward Pitre and Judith Lefort Pitre; and one brother, Clarence "Sue" Pitre. He was a lifelong resident of Cut Off where he worked as a trusted banker for nearly 40 years. He served as chairman of Lafourche Parish Fire District No. 3 and president of the Cut Off Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He also served on many other local civic boards and committees, always lending a hand when needed. He enjoyed his retirement to the fullest by fishing, vacationing and spending quality time with his friends and family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at the church.
