Pitre, father of Lawson and Louis Pitre, Mrs. Julien Angeron, Mrs. Noah Gautreaux, Mrs. Ronald Guidry and Mrs. James Barrios, the late Allen and Alfred (Fredie) Pitre, brother of John and Ramos Pitre, Mrs. Durard Eymard, Mrs. Hypolite Eymard, Mrs. Dennis White and Mrs. Gracien Lecompte and Mrs. Ozela Kief; also survived by 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; age 73 years; a native and a resident of Lafourche Parish.  Services from Thibodaux Funeral Homes, Cut Off, La., on Monday, November 4, 1968, at 9:30 o'clock a.m.; religious services at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galliano, La., at 10 a.m.  Interment in Cheramie Cemetery.  Thibodaux Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Vernice Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Vernice "Toy" Pitre Gautreaux, 81, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Cut Off, who died at 2 p.m. July 15, 1997.  Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the church.  Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery.  She was the wife of Noah Gautreaux; mother of Doris Pitre and Bonnie Vizier; sister of Lawson and Louis Pitre, Clara Angeron, Eusta Guidry and Emma Barrios.  She is also survived by two grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcial "Too Too" and Clarise Pitre; a daughter, Ina Claire Lafont and a granddaughter, Shane Marie Vizier.  Samart Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.

Angeron, 87, a native and resident of Cut Off, died Feb. 5, 2006.  A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated this morning at St. Joseph Church in Galliano, with burial at the church cemetery.  She is survived by her husband, Julian Carroll Angeron; sons Carroll and Kirk Angeron; daughters Shari David and Trudy Pierce; brothers Louis and Lawson Pitre; sister Emma Barrios; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcial and Clarice Pitre; granddaughter Lacey Guidry; brother Freddie Pitre; and sisters Usta Guidry and Vernice Gautreaux.  She was Catholic.  Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Guidry, 76, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off, who died at 12:40 p.m. Jan. 14, 1999.  Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.  Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off.  She was the mother of Ronald Guidry Jr.; and sister of Lawson and Louis Pitre, Clara Angerson and Emma Barrios.  She is also survived by two grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Guidry Sr.; parents, Marcial and Clarice Pitre; son, Dale Guidry; brothers, Alfred and Allen Pitre; sister, Vernice Gautreaux; and one grandchild.  She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the choir.  Samart Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.


Louis Joseph Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet, 12 January 2008:  Louis Joseph Pitre, 81, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 6:58 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off.  Mass will be at noon Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.  He is survived by his wife, Janavee LeBoeuf Pitre; three sons, Carl A. "Roe" Pitre, Robby P. Pitre and Dean L. Pitre; one brother, Lawson Pitre; one sister, Emma P. Barrios; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcial and Clarice Pitre; two brothers, Alfred Pitre and Allen Pitre; and three sisters, Eusta Guidry, Clara Angeron and Vernice Gautreaux.  He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
