Louis J. "Louie" Pitre Jr., 89, a native of Cut Off and resident of
Galliano, died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011. Visitation will be from
10 a.m. to funeral time today at Christian Family Center in Galliano.
Religious services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the church, with burial at
Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife of 71 years,
Judith Cantrelle Pitre; sons, Noble Pitre and wife, Joyce, Jackie Pitre
and wife, Liz, and Tab Pitre and wife, Yvette; daughter, Bonnie Mixon and
husband, Larry; and 24 half and step brothers and sisters, 11 grandchildren
and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Louis J. Pitre Sr. and Laurencia Vegas Pitre; son, Gus Pitre; and
sisters, Bertha Pitre, Jeanne Pitre and Naomie Cheramie. Falgout

February 2014: Judith C. "Maw Maw Pitre" Pitre, 91, a native of Cut
Off and resident of Galliano died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014. Visitation will
be from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Christian Family Center in Galliano.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Christian Family Center, followed
by burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. She is survived by her sons,
Noble Pitre, Jackie Pitre and Tab Pitre; daughter, Bonnie Mixon;
11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Louis Pitre Jr.; parents, Ernest and Vina Pitre Cantrelle;
son, Gus Pitre; brothers, Percy Cantrelle and Henry Cantrelle; and
sisters, Mozana Gisclair, Alida Hebert, Angelle Crosby and Viola Gisclair.
