Obituary:  Midland Daily News (Midland, MI), Wednesday, 10 October 1962:  (photo) Louis C. (Pete) Peters, 52, of Auburn, died at his home Tuesday.  He had been ill three months.  Born in Bay City May 7, 1910, he lived there 48 years prior to moving to Auburn four years ago.  He was employed as an extruder operator in the Saran department at the Dow Chemical Company, Midland.  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Josephine Peters, Auburn; two sons, Carl Peters, Bay City and Thomas Peters, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Smith, Bay City and Miss Juliene Peters, at home; also five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Maria) Charters and Mrs. Darrell (Mildred) Kliensorge, both of Bay City.  Tentative funeral services have been arranged for Friday morning.  Friends may call at the Stapish Funeral Home, Bay City.

- Midland Daily News (Midland, MI), Thursday, 11 October 1962:  Funeral services for Louis C. (Pete) Peters, 52, of Auburn, will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church, Auburn.  The Rev. Stanislaus A. Fron will officiate and burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery, Bay City.  Mr. Peters died Tuesday at his home.  Friends may call at the Stapish Funeral Home, Bay City.

Obituary:  Mrs. Addie B. Wright, 72, of Essexville and formerly of Gladwin County, died suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 10, (1988) in Tacoma, Wash.  She was born in Bay City Jan. 1, 1916, and married Frank Wright May 8, 1935.  He preceded her in death in 1983.  Mrs. Wright lived in Gladwin County for 25 years until moving to Essexville 2 years ago.  Surviving are 4 sons, Edmund of Gladwin, Albert of Seattle, Wash. and William Wright of Bay City and Carl Peters; 3 daughters, Mrs. Jermone (Sharon) Fortin of Kawkawlin, Mrs. Thomas (Liliah) Kloha and Mrs. Alexander (Joyce) McGregor of Bay City; 2 sisters, Cora Ray of Bay City and Sarah Chapman of Midland; one brother, Mickey Ray of Alabama; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 2 daughters.  Rites were held Feb. 15, from the Penzien Funeral Home.  Burial was in the Billings Township Cemetery.

Obituary:  The Saginaw News (Saginaw, MI), Tuesday, 3 December 2002:  Josephine M. Peters, age 91 years, died Saturday, November 30, 2002, at Meadow View Manor, Saginaw.  She was born May 10, 1911 in Bay City to the late Dominic and Julian (Leonard) Fortin.  Josephine lived in Auburn before moving to Venice, Fla. in 1992.  Josephine was employed in housekeeping with Mercy Hospital and Bay Medical Center for many years, before retiring in 1974.  Josephine was a former Girl Scout Leader, a former member of the Auburn Senior Citizens Group and had belonged to many card clubs.  She was married to Louis Peters who died in 1962.  Surviving are her son, Thomas (Joyce) Peters of Saginaw; her daughter, Juliene (John) Vessey of Venice, Fla.; three grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband and parents Josephine was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose and Emma; her two brothers, Joseph and Ernest and two step-children, Carl and Carolyn.  The funeral service will be Friday, December 6, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Swan Valley United Methodist Church, Saginaw.  Josephine will lie in state at the church Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time; Rev. Robert G. Richards will officiate and interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Bay City.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Swan Valley United Methodist Church, Saginaw, Mich.  Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 2:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel, Bay City.

Carolyn Mildred Peters:  The Bay City Times (Bay City, MI), Saturday, 9 November 1963:  Mrs. Carolyn M. Cichanski, 29, 207 Marquette Ave., died early today at Samaritan Hospital after she had been found unconscious at her residence.  Coroner Leslie L. Squires ordered an autopsy after police were informed a bottle of sleeping pills was missing from the bathroom in the home.  Born March 27, 1934, in Bay City, she was a life-long resident here, and widowed.  Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wright, Bay City; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Nix of Bay City, Mrs. Sharon Fortin, Kawkawlin, Mrs. Joyce MacGregor of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Frances Lee Loser, California; and four brothers, Carl Peters, Edmund F. Wright, both of Bay City, Albert A. Wright, Tacoma, Wash., and William F. Wright, Bay City.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete.  The body will be at the Stapish Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Thomas Joseph Peters:  Peters, Thomas Joseph of Thomas Township passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, at his home at the age of 63 years.  Thomas was born October 7, 1947, the son of the late Louis and Josephine (Fortin) Peters.  He served with the US Army in Germany, during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Grey Iron Foundry.  He married Joyce Wolfgram (Saumier) on November 7, 1992; she survives him.  He was a member of Swan Valley United Methodist Church.  Surviving besides his wife Joyce are one sister, Juliene (John) Vessey, Denver, CO; three sisters-in-law: Marianne (Bob) Howe, Merrill, MI, Linda (Bob) Johnson, Bay City, Charlotte Peters, Lapeer; a step-son, Michael (Serena) Wolfgram, Merrill; a step-daughter-in-law, Alexandra Wolfgram, Saginaw; grandchildren: Jonathan and Kristina Rich, Morgan, Mikayla, Alilya and Violet Wolfgram; many nieces, nephews and their families.  He was predeceased by a step-son, Brian Wolfgram, a brother, Carl Peters, and sister, Carolyn Cichanski.  Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, at Swan Valley United Methodist Church, Geddes Road.  Rev. Rob Richard will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Military honors will be under the auspices of the Carrollton VFW Post #1859.  His family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and then at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Swan Valley United Methodist Church.
