Conveyancing records (Terrebonne Genealogy Society - online):
- No.1120 Pgs. 236, 237 4/730:  On October 18, 1831 Mrs. Brigite Belanger, widow Henry S. Thibodaux, declared that she sold, ceded, abandoned and delivered to Louis Pitre, of Lafourche Interior, a certain piece of land situated on right bank of Bayou Terrebonne, about seven and one-half miles from Bayou Lafourche, containing two and one-half arpents front, more or less, from boundary to boundary, as it is, with depth that certificate of confirmation of the official report, of the survey calls for, bounded above by land of Holden Wright and below by land of Jean Baptiste Richard, in consideration of the sum of $490.00, payable over time. Witnessed by Joseph Delaporte and Huberville Arsenaux.
- No. 2151 pg. 435,436M. 2/391/:  On May 10, 1837 appeared Louis Pitre, who declared that he was justly indebted to Francois Bergeron for a $100.00 loan, and in order to secure loan, he mortgaged a certain piece of land situated about two leagues from Thibodauxville, containing two and two-thirds arpents front on right side of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by land of late P. M. Sargent and below by land of Jean Baptiste Richard.  Witnessed by Adolphe Verret and Henry C. Thibodaux.
