Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA): Funeral services were at noon today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Wilson Pitre, 73, a native of Cut Off and resident of Galliano, who died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday (24 July 1990). Interment is in Hebert Cemetery in Galliano. He was the husband of Rosemary Adams Pitre; father of Perry Pitre and Peggy Copeland and grandfather of Leslie Copeland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Pitre. Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary: Falgout Funeral Homes (LA): Rosemary "Nu" Pitre, February 10, 1926 - March 1, 2022: Rosemary ‘Nu” A. Pitre, 96, a native and resident of Galliano passed away Wednesday, March 1st, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 7th, 2022 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow with procession following to her burial in Hebert Cemetery. Mrs. Rosemary is survived by her children: Peggy Copeland and Perry Pitre (Karen); granddaughter: Leslie Copeland (Shannon Cooper); great granddogs: Bug and Budu; and Lexxy “La La” and Séddy Boura. Mrs. Pitre was preceded in death by her husband: Jessey Wilson Pitre; parents: Hennessy and Alcide Duet Adams; son-in-law: Leon Copeland; brothers: Freddie, John, and Jackson Adams; and sister: Eva Smith, Loranza Duet, and Freddia Orgeron. Nu loved watching The Andy Griffith Show. The family would like to thank family, friends, and The Lane for all the help, care, and compassion. Falgout Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
