Byrne, age 100, of 3330 Maria Linden Dr., Rockford, IL, died 3 p.m. on Nov. 9, at Maria Linden retirement home.  Born July 15, 1891, in Prince Edward Island, Canada.  Daughter of John and Mary, nee LaVie Peters.  Resident of Rockford from 1989, coming from Bensenville, IL.  Married to Laurence Byrne in Lynn, MA, on Aug. 22, 1912; predeceased in 1961.  Member of the Roman Catholic Church.  Survivors include daughter Kathleen (Henry) Hirschenberger, son Laurence (Lavergne) Byrne Jr.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; predeceased by husband, daughter Eileen Hirschenberger and two grandchildren.  Service at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at Maria Linden, Rockford, IL, with Rev. Edmund Petit officiating.  Visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Maria Linden.  Burial Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery, Dowagiac, MI, Nov. 12, 1991.  Arrangements by Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Home.

Alphonsus Peters:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Monday, 9 September 1929:  The death occurred at Rollo Bay East, Sunday evening, Aug. 25, of Mr. Alphonsus Peters, son of the late John W. and Mrs. Peters in his early twenties.  He leaves to mourn his mother, two sisters Mary M. of the City Hospital Staff, and Mrs. John Kassbebuski, Grafton and one brother John C. in Western Canada.  Funeral took place, Tuesday morning from his late residence to St. Alexes Church where high Mass was sung by the pastor, Rev. A. L. Sinnot.
