Obituary: The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday, 7 March 1994: Newcastle - Mrs. Priscilla Mary Pitre, 75, of Dolan Avenue, Newcastle, passed away on Friday, March 4, 1994 at her residence. Born in South Tetagouche, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Margarette Anne (Chamberlain) Pitre. She was a homemaker and attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Walter Benoit (Yvonne) of Bellefond, Mrs. Leonard Manuel (Doris) of Bellefond, Kathleen McLaughlin of Chatham, Mrs. Norman Bjurstrom (Blanche) of Red Deer, Alta.; four sons, Albany of Montreal, Que., Omer of Ontario, Clifford of Newcastle, Donald of Newcastle; two sisters, Mrs. Johnny Benoit (Regina) of Beaverbrook, Mrs. Will Legacy (Adelle) of Green Point; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Pitre; four brothers, Andrew, Ben, Clifford, and Joe; and by two grandsons. Remains rested at Bell's Funeral Home. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle on Monday, March 7, 1994 at 11 a.m. Interment in Beaverbrook Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in the spring.
