Margaret Lena Pitre: Houma Daily Comet (LA), Tuesday, 22 March 2016: Margaret Pitre Griffin, 84, a native and resident of Houma, died on Sunday, March 20, 2016. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Wednesday and from 8 AM until service time on Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales cemetery II. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Lisa Takewell and husband, Doug; sister, Ella Mae Rogers; daughter-in-law, Bambi LeBoeuf; grandchildren, Courtney and Ryan Hutcherson, Molly Griffin and fiancé, Anthony Cunningham, Emily Griffin, Amanda Ketcher, Jessica Roberts and husband Richard, and Jared Takewell; and three great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Griffin; son, Chris Griffin; parents, Simon and Nettie Pitre; son-in-law, Rodney Hutcherson; and great-grandchild, Trevor Labit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to defray funeral expenses.
Ella Mae Pitre: Ella Mae Rogers, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Terrebonne General Medical Center. She was a longtime resident of Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Saturday, April 14, 2018 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Ella was survived by her husband of sixty years, Charles Rogers, Sr.; sons, Charles Rogers, Jr. and wife Hazel, Timmy P. Rogers; she is also survived by numerous extended family. Ella is preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Nettie Pitre; sister, Margaret Pitre Griffin. Ella was a loving wife and mother. She was a beautiful lady that was loving and caring, above all, she loved and served her Lord and Savior. She was also faithful to the Blessed Mother and said the Rosary daily.
