Obituary:  Watertown Daily Times (Watertown, NY), Monday, 11 November 1929:  Joseph Peets, Native of Ellisburg, Dies Here - Joseph Peets, 49, died at his home in 203 Main avenue at 8 a.m. today after a long illness.  He was a laborer and had resided in this city six years.  Mr. Peets was born in Ellenburg, in 1880, the son of Joseph and Louisa Peets.  He resided there until six years ago.  Mr. Peets is survived by his wife, Ida; one son, Gerald Peets, and his mother, Mrs. Louisa Peets, all of 203 Main avenue; one brother, Charles Peets, whose address is unknown and two sisters, Miss Lena Peets of Malone, and Mrs. Joseph Pervino, Factory street.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival of Miss Peets from Malone.

Misc.:  Malone Evening Telegram, Friday, 1 February 1924:  Mrs. Ida Peets and son, Gerald, of Amaden street, left Malone this morning for Watertown, where they will visit friends.

- Cape Vincent Eagle (NY), Thursday, 6 April 1933:  Mrs. Ida. J. Peets, 75, and Mrs. Keziah Gardner, 92, were rescued by firemen from the parapet in front of their second story apartment, during the fire which gutted the Lansing apartments, Watertown, about 3 a.m. Monday.  The total loss to the building and contents is estimated at $15,000 mostly covered by insurance.

Obituary:  Malone Evening Telegram (NY), Thursday, 5 October 1933:  Mrs. Ida Peets, 600 Pine Street, Watertown, a former Malone resident passed away yesterday at the Mercy Hospital in Watertown.  The remains will be brought to Malone for burial.  It is expected that the body will arrive here this afternoon and funeral arrangements will be announced later.  Mrs. Peets had resided in Watertown for several years past.

Obituary:  Malone Evening Telegram (NY), Friday, 6 October 1933:  Funeral rites of Mrs. Ida Peets, former Malone resident who passed away at Mercy Hospital in Watertown, will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at Notre Dame Church with interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.  Mrs. Peets was a daughter of John and Julia Vivlamore, Fort Covington.  She was twice married.  In 1878 she was united in marriage with Cornelius Richardson who died 28 years ago.  Her second husband, Joseph Peets, died four years ago.  Surviving are one son, Samuel Richardson, Malone; an adopted son, Gerald Peets, Watertown; a brother, Henry Vivlamore, Fort Covington; one sister, Mrs. Julius Bashaw, Fort Covington; and several nieces and nephews.  The remains have been brought to the home of her son, Samuel Richardson, 33 Front Street.
