Obituary for the daughter:

Mary Rose Pitre:  The Moncton Transcript (Moncton, NB), Wednesday, 2 November 1955:  Mrs. Edmund Blanchard, 46, died at her residence, 31 Cedar street, Parkton, Saturday after a long illness.  She was born in Prince Edward Island and lived there during her youth when she moved to Parkton.  Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Peters; her husband; three daughters, Miss Helen of Toronto, Mrs. Laurie Melanson and Mrs. Clifford Dupuis, both of Parkton; one son, Elmer, Parkton and six grandchildren.  The funeral service was held Monday morning at nine o'clock from the Parkton Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Eric Cormier officiating.  He was assisted by Mrs. Pellerin and Roy.  Pallbearers were Laurie Melanson, Clifford Dupuis, Henry Bernard, Clarence Cormier, Ernest Melanson and Stanley Bourgeois.  Many relatives and friends attended the last rites and the number of mass and sympathy cards received attested to the esteem in which Mrs. Blanchard had been held.
