Obituary:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Monday, 5 April 1954:  Peters - At her home on 16 Eustane Street, Summerside, on Sunday, April 4th, Julia Lucy Peters, wife of Joseph L. Peters, Summerside in her 65th year.  Forwarded from the Bowness Funeral Home to her late residence on Sunday afternoon from where the funeral will be held to St. Paul's Church for Mass at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6th.  Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery.

- Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Wednesday, 7 April 1954:  Funeral at Summerside - The funeral of the late Mrs. Joseph L. Peters was held from her late residence yesterday to St. Paul's Church where Requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Joseph MacLeod while the last rites at the grave were performed by Rev. Joseph LeClair.  The pall bearers were Messrs. Earl Hickey, Earl MacDonald, Eldon Hickey, Wilfred Kelly, Andrew Perry and Roy Easter.  Interment was in the St. Paul's cemetery.

Mary Lena Peters:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Saturday, 5 September 1931:  In Memoriam - Mrs. Frank Morrison - The death occurred at her home in Summerside in the early hours of Monday morning, of Mary Lena, wife of Mr. Frank Morrison, of Summerside, after a long and trying illness.  The deceased was only 21 years of age and leaves two little tots.  She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Peters and had lived all her young life in Summerside, where she was beloved by all who knew her.  There are left to mourn, her husband and two little girls, Frances, aged two, and Helena, aged one year.  Also her father and mother, three brothers and one sister, namely: Henry, in Montreal; Charles, Ernest and Genevieve at home, to whom much sympathy is extended.  The funeral took place on Tuesday morning from her home to St. Paul's Church and Cemetery.  Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Rev. J. J. McDonald.  The service at the grave was conducted by Rev. Bennett McDonald.  The funeral was very largely attended.  The pall bearers were as follows: Messrs. Fred Gallant, Philip Gallant, Leigh Mountain, Jerry Doucette, Elmer Birt and Edward Harrington.  High Mass Cards were given by her husband, father and mother, Genevieve and Ernest, (brother and sister), Charles and Mrs. Henry Peters, Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Gillis, Ernest Peters, Margaret and George Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Morrison and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Gaudet and family.  Sprays and Bouquets: Grocery Staff of R. T. Holmans, Ltd., Mr. and Mrs. J. Hogan, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Corney, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Ernest James Peters:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Saturday, 9 April 1932:  Sympathy Expressed - Much sympathy is expressed for Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Peters, of Summerside, in the death early on Saturday morning of their fourteen-year-old son, Master Ernest, after a brief illness of pneumonia.  The young lad was a general favorite at home and at school and his bright young face and pleasant smile will be sorely missed in the family circle and in the playground.  There are left to mourn besides his sorrowing parents, two brothers, Henry, in Montreal and Charles at home; also one little sister, Miss Jenevieve, to whom sincere sympathy is extended.  The funeral takes place on Tuesday morning from the home to St. Paul's Church and cemetery.
