Ernest William Collin Peters:  D. J. Robb Funeral Home:  Ernest Peters, April 15, 1921 - March 1, 2009:  At Marshall Gowland Manor on Sunday, March 1, 2009, Ernest William Collin Peters, age 87, of Sarnia.  Ernest was a loving husband, brother and a great father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Predeceased by Lilian, his beloved wife of 65 years (2008).  He is survived by his children Mary Laverty and her husband Glenn of Shelburne, Susan Whyte and her husband Andrew of Chatham, Janet Jarvela and her husband Ken of Camlachie, Davina Peters of Vancouver, B.C., Ruth Goetz and her husband William of Wyoming and Graham Peters and his wife Kim of Port Sydney, Ontario.  Loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his sister Daisy McLaughlin and brother George Peters and is survived by his sisters Greta Ruff, Felicia Logue, Marjorie Peters and Marie Peters.  Born in Toronto, Ontario on April 15, 1921, Ernest grew up in New Brunswick.  He served in World War II and was stationed in England where he met his wife Lilian.  Funeral service will be held from the Chapel of the D. J. Robb Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 4th at 1:00 pm.  Interment to follow in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Parkinson Foundation or Charity of Choice would be appreciated.  Visitation on Tuesday, February 29, 2000.  Funeral: Tuesday, February 29, 2000 at 12:00 AM.

 

Marie Felecia Peters:  Giberson Funeral Directors:  The death of Felecia Logue formerly of Bristol occurred on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Central Carleton Nursing Home, Hartland.  Born April 11, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Daisy (Preedy) Peters.  She was also predeceased by her husband, John Logue; 1 daughter, Joan A. Wallace; 1 grandson, Gary John Newlands, 5 siblings, Ernest Peters, George Peters, Daisy McLaughlin, Marie Michaud and Greta Ruff.  Felecia is survived by her daughter, Louise Newlands (A.J.); 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Marjorie Hopper (Claire); 1 brother-in-law, Phillip Ruff as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.  A reception and visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 11:30 to 1:00 pm in the Foster Fellowship Hall at Faith Memorial United Church.  A private graveside service will follow in the Bristol Community Cemetery.  Rev. Susan Estabrooks will officiate.  Memorial donations may be made to Faith Memorial United Church.

 

Marjorie Violet Peters:  John C. Badder Funeral Home (Thamesville, ONT):  Peters: Margery V., a resident of Thamesville, passed away following a short illness at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the age of 93.  Born in Reach Twp., Ontario, daughter of the late Ernest and Daisy (Preedy) Peters.  Beloved wife of Clair Hopper. Loving mother of Glendon Adams (Donna) of Woodstock, Darrell Adams of London.  Sadly missed by Clair's sons Wayne, Brad, Carl, Jeff Hopper and their families.  Loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by her sisters Daisy McLaughlin, Felecia Logue, Greta Ruff, Marie Michaud and brothers George and Ernest Peters.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  At Margery's request, cremation has taken place.  Interment of Cremains in Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville at a later date.  If desired donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville.
