Marie Adelia Pitre: Adelia Pitre Barrest, 23 Jul 1925 – 13 May 2017: At the Amqui Hospital Center, on May 13, 2017, at the age of 91 years and 10 months, Mrs. Adelia Pitre, wife of the late Mr. Daniel Barrest, passed away. She lived in Sainte-Florence. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Alphonse Pitre and the late Mrs. Albertine Gallant. Madame Pitre knew how to communicate her joy to those close to her and to all the people she met. She dedicated a very great importance to her grandchildren whom she cherished with all her heart. She took great pleasure in listening to them, cajoling them, loving them. She never refused to take care of them, to keep them even when her health was less good. A generous woman, the needs of others came before her own. She provoked harmony around her, knowing how to influence her loved ones with finesse to ensure that the echo of their thoughts, their conversations, their gestures were imprinted with it. Very welcoming, the door was always wide open. She loved receiving everyone around a good table. When her health began to fail her, she had the great regret of not being able to continue the mission she had given herself, to prepare good meals to gather and welcome all those she loved. We could not ignore her love for flowers, for wild berries: strawberries, raspberries and blueberries that she took great pleasure in picking, even on a walker. For her, the best days have finally arrived. For all those she had to leave, they will cherish the imperishable memory of this generous lady with a big heart. Madame Pitre was the mother of: Florian (Veronica), Emilian, Ginette, Colette (Gaston), late Michel (late Estelle), She was the grandmother of: Eric (France), Manon (Richard), Colette (Nelson), Josee (Yves) Christian, Caroline (Martin), Louis Vincent, Remi, the late Melanie. She also leaves to mourn her great-grandchildren: Robin, Francis, Stephanie, Erika, Noemie, Sara, Tommy, Samuel, Alexis, Emie, Katherine. She was the sister of: Philias, Henry, Louis, Lucia, Noella, Anita, Leona, Louisa, Laura, Alida, late Mary, late Rosa. She also leaves to mourn her brother-in-law, Émile (late Rita), her nephews and nieces, her cousins, as well as many relatives and friends. The family will receive condolences at the Family Memorial House Fournier, Causapscal Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The commemorative celebration will take place in the church of Sainte-Florence on Thursday, May 18 at 10:30 a.m. On Thursday, the day of the celebration, the Memorial House will open at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Sainte-Florence Cemetery. Those who wish can send expressions of sympathy or make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Eastern Quebec Cancer Association through the hostess at the salon.
