Beloved husband of Patricia (Patty). Proud father of Susie Christian and Bert (Suzette). Much loved Poppy to Scott (Shelley), Mark, and Jason Christian and Danielle and Jeremy Peters and 4 great-grandchildren Dylan, Teagan, Julia and Rory. Survived by brother John and sisters Lela Hanlon (Jearard), Ruth MacGregor (Walter), Myrna Reeves (Eddie), Doris Diamond, and Joyce Vokey (Bob) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Albina and Leonard, brother Keenie, sister Reina Breau, son-in-law Joe Christian, sisters-in-law Juanita and Mary Anne and brothers-in-law Lawrence and Kenny. Funeral mass to be held at St Charles Roman Catholic Church on Monday September 11, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Charles Cemetery. Mary Leila Peters: Mary Leila Hanlon - September 11th, 1932 - December 16th, 2018 - Peacefully in her sleep with her daughter at her side on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Colville Manor of Leila Hanlon (nee Peters), aged 86 years of New Zealand, PE. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home with visiting hours on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 7-9pm and Friday, December 21 from 9:30am-10:15am. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00am . Interment to follow in the St. Alexis Church Cemetery.
Reina Peters: Red Deer Advocate (AB), 10 August 2005: Breau (nee Peters) Reina Breau of Charlottetown, PEI passed away July 23, 2005 at the age of 70 years. Reina was predeceased by her husband Lawrence in 1993 and her youngest son Troy in 1973. She is survived by her sons Guy (Barbara) of Red Deer, AB and Larry (Sue) of Cornwall, PEI, and her daughter Carol (Brian Killeen) of Porters Lake, NS, also by her grandchildren Jason, Troy, Malory, Amy and Darcy, one great-grandchild Emily, sisters Leila (Jerad Hamlin), Ruth (Walter MacGregor), Myrna (Eddie Reeves), Doris (Kenny Diamond), Joyce (Bob Vokey), brothers Ray (Patty) and John (Juanita), all of PEI. Funeral services were held on July 29, 2005 care of the Hilsboro Funeral Home, PEI. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
John Leonard Peters: The death occurred at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, February 29, 2020 of John Leonard Peters of Milton Station, age 73 years. Beloved husband of the late Juanita Peters (Weeks). Loving father of Ray Peters (Angela MacLeod) and Laura Lee MacQuarrie (Rick). John will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Brodie (Megan) MacQuarrie and Lacey (Josh) Sentner; Hayden and Nolen MacLeod-Peters and great-grandson Caleb MacQuarrie. Brother of Ruth (Walter) MacGregor, Myrna (Ed) Reeves, Doris Diamond and Joyce (Bob) Vokey. Brother-in-law of Jared Hanlon and Patty Peters. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Albina Peters; brothers - Cornelius Peters and Ray Peters; sisters - Reina Breau and Leila Hanlon; brothers-in-law - Ken Diamond and Lawrence Breau and sister-in-law Marianne Chaisson. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford for visitation on Tuesday March 3rd from 3 to 6 pm. Funeral Service will take place at Hillsboro Funeral Home - Stratford Chapel on Wednesday, March 4th at 10:30 am. Interment to take place at a later date in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Memorial donations may be made to Camp Gencheff.
