Mary Isabel Pitre:  The Times Argus (Montpelier-Barre, VT), Thursday, 4 April 2002:  Northfield - Isabel Duquette, 86, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin.  She was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, May 23, 1915, the daughter of Joseph & Emily (Doucette) Peters.  She attended schools in Chelsea and Reading, Massachusetts.  She married Herbert Duquette in Reading, Massachusetts, October 12, 1945.  Isabel worked several years at the Woolworth Department store in Reading, then following her marriage, moved to Northfield, Vermont.  She worked many years for the Economy Store, Morses Clothing Store and Geo Kingston Furniture Store all of Northfield.  She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Church in Northfield and the Catholic Daughters.  She enjoyed walking and spending time with family and friends.  Survivors include her husband of fifty-six years, Herbert of Northfield; one son, Dr. Peter Duquette and his wife, Dr. Jan Duquette of Edina, Minnesota; one sister, Dora Eurbin of Northfield; two grandchildren, Stephen and Annie Duquette of Edina, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two sisters, Emily Thornton and Evelyn Muise.  Calling hours will be conducted Friday, April 5 from 7-9 p.m. at the Kingston Funeral Home in Northfield.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Church in Northfield.  Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery in Northfield.  Donations may be made in her memory to the Woodridge Nursing Home Activity Fund, Barre, VT or Central VT Home Health & Hospice, Berlin, VT.

Anne Dora Pitre:  The Times Argus (Montpelier-Barre, VT), Tuesday, 22 August 2006:  Northfield - A. Dora Eurbin, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin.  She was born in Chelsea, Mass., on Dec. 28, 1917, the daughter of Joseph and Emily (Doucette) Peters.  She is a graduate of Reading High School in Reading, Mass.  She married Leonard N. Eurbin on Nov. 28, 1940, in Reading, Mass.  They made their home on Union Street for over five decades.  Mr. Eurbin died Oct. 25, 2001.  Mrs. Eurbin worked for several years at the Nantanna Woolen Mill in Northfield and volunteered with Girl Scouts and the Northfield Playground.  She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Church, Catholic Daughters and the Catholic Order of Foresters.  Mr. and Mrs. Eurbin were past Grand Marshals for the Northfield Labor Day Parade in recognition of their many years of civic minded community service.  Mrs. Eurbin was fondly known by her family, neighbors and especially her grandchildren for her homemade chocolate chip cookies - her cookie jar was always full!  Survivors include her three children, Carol Fiarkoski and her husband, Joseph, of Barre; Nancy Hutchinson and her companion, Steve, of Northfield; Susan McLellan and her husband, David, of Shelburne; five grandchildren, Dena St. Amour and her husband, Ken, of Swanton; Sonja Duncan and her husband, Mike, of St. Albans; Christopher Fiarkoski and his wife, Kathleen, of Sheldon; Tamie Jo Dickinson and her husband, Mark, of South Burlington; Karen Tucker and her husband, Trent, of Northfield; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Gracco.  She is predeceased by three sisters, Emily Thornton, Evelyn Muise and Mary Isabel Duquette.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Church in Northfield.  Calling hours will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kingston Funeral Home, Northfield.  Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Williston, VT or to Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, Berlin, VT.
