MISC: Buffalo Evening News (Buffalo, NY), Friday, 28 March 1930: Clovis J. Pitre, 30, of 277 Northampton street, wound up in the Deaconess hospital Thursday afternoon after an attempt to stop his runaway horse. While Pitre was off his rig on Waldon avenue, near the Nickel Plate railway crossing, something frightened the animal and it began to run. A passing autoist picked Pitre up and chased the runaway, soon overtaking it. Pitre jumped, in an effort to land in his rig but fell to the pavement and one rear wheel went over his back.
