Joseph Pierre Pitre:  Daily Gleaner (Fredericton, NB), Tuesday, 28 June 1994:   Pierre (Peter) Pitre of 65 Spruce Street, Minto, died Sunday, June 26, 1994, at his residence.  He was 81.  Born at Rogersville, he was the son of the late Camille and Mary Anne (Cormier) Pitre.  He worked in the Minto Coal Mines for many years and was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Minto.  He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Meunier) Pitre; six sons, Joseph and his wife Joyce of Fredericton, Anthony and his wife Ann of Fredericton, Johnny and his wife Kathy of Ripples, Paul and his wife Carol of Minto, Patrick and his wife Joy of Fredericton, Maurice and his fiance Bonnie Goguen of Minto; a daughter, Debra and her husband Nelson Arsenault of Minto; a brother Alphe Pitre of Rogersville and 13 grandchildren, several cousins and two nieces.  He was predeceased by a daughter Janet, two sisters, Aurille and Alma.  Resting at his residence, 65 Spruce St. with visitation today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 1994, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Minto with Rev. S. Diotte officiating.  Interment will be in St. Brigit's Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge.  For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
