Obituary:  The Daily Argus (Mt. Vernon, NY), Friday, 24 September 1943:  Mrs. Edward V. Petrie - Rita Agnes Boylan Petrie, wife of Edward Victor Petrie of 105 Monroe Street, died today after a long illness.  Born in Chester Basin, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of Lucy Hatt Boylan and the late Martin Sylvester Boylan.  Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Dorothy, of this city; a brother, Ronald Boylan of Brooklyn; a half-brother, Jack Shatford of Portland, Me., and six sisters, Mrs. Minna Keegan and Mrs. Phyllis Mosher of this city, Mrs. Frances Embich and Mrs. Violet O'Neill of Brooklyn, Mrs. Clara Mosher of White Plains, and Mrs. Kathleen Borgald of Nova Scotia.  Requiem Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 A. M. at the Church of the Sacred Heart.  Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla.  Friends may call at the Burr Davis Chapel, 15 Fourth Avenue.
