Obituary:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Saturday, 3 February 1968:  Bathurst - The death of Mrs. Margaret Pitre, widow of Albert Pitre of St. Anne occurred Thursday at Hotel Dieu after a short illness.  She was 80.  Born in South Tetagouche, she was the former Margaret Daigle, daughter of the late Fabien Daigle of South Tetagouche and the former Marian Guitard of Green Point.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Mrs. Pitre resided in South Tetagouche until seven years ago when she moved to St. Anne to reside with her daughter, Mrs. Leonard Pitre.  Her husband died 10 years ago.  She is survived by one of two adopted children, Mrs. Leonard Pitre (Regina) of St. Anne, eight grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  The body is resting at Elhatton's funeral home and the funeral will be held to Holy Family Church Sunday at 4 p.m.  The body will be placed in the West Bathurst Roman Catholic receiving vault pending interment in the South Tetagouche cemetery in the spring.
