Obituary:  The Sun (Lowell, MA), Tuesday, 26 July 1988:  Harold J. Peters, retired stonecutter, Tyngsboro - Harold J. Peters, 73, of 43 Tyng Road, died Tuesday at Lowell General Hospital after a long illness.  He was married to Margaret (Clark) Peters, with whom he celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on April 13.  A native and lifelong resident of Tyngsboro, he was born there Oct. 10, 1914, son of the late Paul and Alberta (Thibeault) Peters.  He was educated in Tyngsboro schools.  During World War II, he served as a sergeant with the U.S. Army.  Mr. Peters had worked for more than 40 years as a stonecutter at the Guilmet and LeMausier quarries until his retirement in 1978.  From 1978 until recently, he was employed with DeMoulas in Nashua, N.H.  In his early years, he had worked for the town of Tyngsboro, plowing snow in the winter months.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #247 of Tyngsboro and the Tyngsboro Senior Citizens Club.  He was the grandfather of the late James Long.  Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Cynthia) Long of Dracut and Mrs. Robert (Donna) Savary of Pepperell; two brothers, Arthur Peters of Winsted, Conn. and Ernest Peters of Blackstone, three sisters, Carol LeQuesne of Whitinsville, Louise Foote of Lowell and Irene Blasangame of Arlington; and four granddaughters, Jennifer, Allison and Stephanie Long, and Erica Savary.

Obituary:  The Sun (Lowell, MA), Tuesday, 4 May 1999:  Tyngsboro - Margaret 'Daisy' (Wells-Clark) Peters, 85, of Tyngsboro, died yesterday, May 3, at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell.  She was married to Harold Peters, who died on July 24, 1988.  She was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on June 15, 1913.  She came to the United States at an early age and attended the Lowell school system.  Mrs. Peters worked in several of the Lowell mills, including the Ames Worsted Mills.  She later was employed with the Commodore Food Co. in Lowell, retiring in 1975.  She was a member of the Tyngsboro Senior Citizens Club.  She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and James Long of Dracut, and Donna and Robert Savary of Townsend; two sisters-in-law, Louise Foote of Lowell, and Irene Blasangame of Arlington, Va.; four grandchildren, Erica Savary of Townsend, Jennifer, Allison and Stephanie Long, all of Dracut; and one great-grandchild, Napleon Battle of Dracut.  She was the grandmother of the late James Long Jr. of Dracut.
