Obituary: The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Monday, 17 May 1976: Theodore S. Peters. Caribou - Theodore S. Peters, 62, died at a Caribou hospital May 15 following a long illness. He was born in Robertville, N.B. June 15, 1913, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Boudreau) Peters. He was a resident of Caribou for 22 years. He was a WWII veteran in the U.S. Army, and was a prisoner of war in Germany for 11 months. He was decorated with the Purple Heart in 1944. He was a member of the VFW Post in Caribou. He is survived by his widow, Edna (Clavette) Peters of Caribou; three sons, David C. of Toronto, Ont., Dana L. of Riverview, Fla. and Michael of Caribou; two daughters, Mrs. Nilson (Judith) Tidd of Georgetown, Mass., Mrs. Gary (Cynthia) Hart of Hillsboro, Ohio; two brothers, Eddie of Stockholm and Alphonse of Presque Isle; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Long of Boston and Mrs. Laura Pelletier of Caribou; and six grandchildren. Friends may call at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, Monday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 1 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Caribou. Military committal services will be held in St. Theresa Cemetery, Stockholm with the officers and men of the Maine National Guard and the VFW Post of Caribou officiating.

She was born in Stockholm, Sept. 21, 1919, daughter of Vital and Emma (Rossignol) Clavette. Mrs. Peters was a life long resident of Caribou where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. On July 18, 1948, she married to Theodore S. Peters, who predeceased her in 1976. She is survived by three sons, David and Dana, both of Florida, and Michael of Caribou; two daughters, Mrs. Nilson (Judith) Tidd of Georgetown, Mass., and Mrs. Gary (Cynthia) Hart of Enfield, Conn.; six brothers, Gilbert of Glastonbury, Conn., Romeo of Stockholm, Clinton of Sinclair, Leo of Lebanon, Conn., Lawrence of Florida, and Albert of Hartford, Conn.; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice LaMontagne of Portland, Conn., Mrs. Elsie Lavoie of Hartford, Conn., and Sister Theresa Clavette of Worcester, Mass.; eight grandchildren. Michael P. Peters: Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Tuesday, 17 September 2019: Presque Isle - Michael P. Peters, 57, died September 16, 2019 at Presque Isle following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Caribou, February 21, 1962 the son of the late Theodore and Edna (Clevette) Peters. He was a graduate of Caribou High School, and earned his Associates Degree in Autobody from Northern Maine Community College. Michael married Kara Cyr December 19, 2000. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Presque Isle. Michael was employed as a sous chef for several area restaurants, including Keddy's Motor Inn, Riverdriver's Restaurant, and more recently Northern Maine Community College. Surviving in addition to his wife, Kara; is his daughter, Ashlee Peters both of Presque Isle; his grandson, Aiden MacFarline; two brothers, David Peters and wife Edie, and Danny Peters and wife Betty all of Florida; one sister, Judy Tidd and husband Nilson of Washington; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister Cindy Hart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2pm Friday, September 20, 2019 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, North Caribou. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
