Obituary: The Times (San Mateo, CA), Monday, 24 January 1972: Henry S. Peters, a 30-year resident of Burlingame and a retired newspaperman, died yesterday at his San Rafael home after a long illness. Peters was a reporter with the San Francisco Chronicle for 25 years, retiring in 1960. He was a native of San Francisco and a member of the San Francisco-Oakland Newspaper Guild. Survivors include his wife Estelle of San Rafael; a son, Stanley of Mountain View; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Guerin of San Carlos and Mrs. Dauphine Hodson of Fullerton; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Houghton of San Rafael; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from Carlmont Chapel in Belmont, with requiem mass at St. Charles Catholic Church at 10. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Carlmont Chapel.
