Obituary:  Times Picayune, 2 May 1965, On Saturday, May 1, 1965, at 11 o'clock a.m., Ociana Hebert Pitre, beloved wife of the late Henry Pitre, mother of Moise, Ernest, O'Neal and Paul Pitre, Mrs. Antoine Matherne, Mrs. Ivy Matherne, Mrs. Robert Rink; sister of Orestile Hebert, Mrs. Joseph Pitre, Mrs. Allen Thibodeaux, Mrs. Telin Thibodeaux, Mrs. Dennis Thibodeaux.  Survived by 32 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Age 67 years, a native and a resident of Choctaw, La.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services from Robert Rink's residence, Choctaw, La., on Monday, May 3, 1965, at 9:00 o'clock a.m.  Religious services at St. James Chapel, Choctaw, La.  Interment in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Chackbay, La.  Arrangements by Thibodaux Funeral Home, Thibodaux, La.

Ernest Joseph Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet:  Funeral services are scheduled for noon Wednesday at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux for Ernest Joseph Pitre, 70, a native and resident of Choctaw, who died Monday (1 January 1990) at 4:30 a.m.  Visitation is from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at the funeral home.  Interment is in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.  He was the father of Freddie Rink, Mrs. Irene Ehret, Mrs. Johnny (Enola) Holder, Mrs. Arthur (Viola) Flanders and Debra Gaudet; and brother of Paul Pitre, Mrs. Antoine Matherne, Mrs. Ivy (Yvonne) Matherne and Mrs. Robert (Theresa) Rink.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette Benoit; parents, Henry and Ocenia Hebert Pitre; and brothers, O'Niel and Moise Pitre.
 

Paul Freddie Pitre:  Houma Courier, 25 March 2002:  Paul Freddie Pitre, age 71, a native of Taft and resident of Choctaw, died at 8:37 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2002.  Funeral today at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel in Thibodaux with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Chackbay.  Survived by his wife, Marie Angela Scioneaux Pitre; four sons, Henry, Ralph, Shane and Hank Pitre; three daughters, Theresa Landry, Melinda Templet and Priscille Richard; three sisters, Desiree Matherne, Yvonne Matherne and Theresa Rink; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents, Henry J. and Ocenia Hebert Pitre; one son, Daniel P. Pitre; three brothers, Morris, Ernest and "Rock" Pitre; and one grandchild, Jason Landry.  Thibodaux Funeral Home of Thibodaux.
