Obituary: Lowell Sun (Lowell, MA), Monday, 24 October 1977: Dracut - Leo G. Peters, 77, widower of Yvonne J. (Ouellette) Peters, of 50 New Boston Road, died Saturday evening at St. John's Hospital. Born in Lowell, he was a son of the late George and Edith (Racine) Peters. He was a communicant of Ste. Therese Church. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Dracut Council 1225; a past president of the Dracut Lions, an honorary member of the Club Lafayette, a member of the Republican National Committee and the Massachusetts Republican Committee; a member of the Lowell Musicians Association, Local 83; a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens; the American Association of Retired Persons and a member of the National Advisory Board of American Security Council. At the time of his death, he was the owner and operator of the Atlas Supply Company of Dracut. Surviving him are a son, Raymond L. Peters of Westminster, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Roger (Rita) Biguld of North Billerica; Mrs. H. Thomas (Joan) Hammond and Miss Susan C. Peters of Dracut; a step-brother, Joseph Gibson of West Wareham, Mass.; also nine grandchildren.
