Barbara "Bobbie" Pitre Stanton, 79, a native of Thibodaux and resident of
Alexandria, Va., died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011. Graveside services will be
held at 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at Arlington National
Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Colonel Donald Stanton,
USMC (Ret), of Alexandria, Va.; one daughter, Rebecca Barker of Fairfax,
Va.; one son, Jeffrey Stanton of Annapolis, Md.; one sister, Rhea
Ledet of New Orleans; one brother,
George L. Pitre Jr. of Thibodaux; and four grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents, George L. Pitre Sr. and Hortense Seely
Pitre.
