Obituary:  Detroit Free Press (Detroit, MI), Saturday, 27 March 1993:  Peters, George J.  Beloved husband of Mary (Adeline) O'Neil.  Dear father of Catherine (Raymond) Brown, Edward (Brenda), Dennis and Mary (Don) Murray.  Grandfather of eight.  Brother of William, Helen Sadler, John, Dorothy Houtteman, Lorraine Girard, Robert, Shirley Kraemer, Victoria Lynn and the late Lawrence.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Visitation Saturday 5-9 p.m. Sunday 12-9 p.m.  Funeral service Monday 9:30 a.m. from the S.K. Schultz a Trust 100 Funeral Home, 21705 Gratiot at 8 1/2 Mile Road, to St. Athanasius Church 10 a.m.

Obituary:  The Bay City Times (MI), Saturday, 20 September 2008:  Peters, Mary Adeline (O'Neil), Alger, Michigan, age 84, passed away September 18, 2008 at Bay Special Care Hospital in Bay City, Michigan.  She was born to Edward J. O'Neil and Mary McNally on December 29, 1923 in Detroit MI.  She married George J. Peters on January 17, 1948; he preceded her in March 1993.  Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alger, MI.  Mary is survived by her children Catherine M. Brown (Dave Kuba), Edward J. (Carmen) Peters, Dennis G. (Darin Stringer), Mary L. (Don) Murray, 13 grandchildren James, Timothy, Jonathan, Jennifer, Bradley, Matthew, Gilbert, Julie, James, Neann, Jerrid, Erin and Shannon, 7 great-grandchildren Alicia, Mario, Victoria, Alexa, Grace, James and Mylene; she was preceded by husband George and son-in-law Raymond Brown in September 2006.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2008 at 12 noon from the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alger, Father Jerome Niedermier and Deacon Mike Arnold will be officiating the service.  Mary will lie in state from 10am till her Funeral Mass at 12 noon.  R.
