Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Wednesday, 17 October 1962:  Franklin O. Peters - The death of Franklin O. Peters, 56, occurred Tuesday in a local hospital.  He was born in South Brewer, the son of John and Harriett (Burns) Peters.  He was manager of food and beverages for the Azure Tides Hotel, Sarasota Beach, Fla.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ila Peters, Bangor; a daughter, Mrs. Priscilla Walton, Plattsburg, N.Y.; two sons, Franklin O. Peters Jr., Littleton, Mass., and Stanley Peters, Winthrop, Mass.; several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Kelleher Funeral Home, 119 Cedar Street.  Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Friday, 21 September 2007:  (photo) Ila (Boynton) Peters.  Ellsworth - Ila (Boynton) Peters, 93, wife of the late Franklin Peters, died Sept. 18, 2007, at an Ellsworth health care facility.  She was born Oct. 24, 1913, in Patten, the daughter of Charles and Ellen (McNally) Boynton.  She moved to Bangor with her parents when she was four.  While attending John Baptist Memorial High School, she worked holidays at Freese'e Department Store behind the candy counter.  It was at Freese's that Ila met her future husband, who was a buyer for several departments in the store.  After Ila and Franklin were married, they owned and operated Elmwood Restaurant and Hotel, Blue Hill, before World War II.  After the war, they bought a home in Holden, where Ila owned and operated Ila's Take Out Diner.  Later Franklin and Ila were employed by Grand Hotel, Mackinack Island, Mich., to manage their lunch bar and nightclub, for three seasons.  After that, they moved to Florida and managed the 19th Hole Restaurant for the Beach Club Hotel.  After her husband's death in 1962, Ila went to work at Smith College, North Hampton, Mass., as a chef for 20 years.  During this time she spent her summers at her cottage on George's Pond, Franklin, where she retired in 1982, at the age of 69.  Ila remained a resident of Franklin until she moved to the Meadows, Ellsworth, in September 2002.  Ila was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellsworth, and a member of the Golden Age Group at St. Joseph.  Ila is survived by two sons, Franklin Peters Jr. and his wife, Elisabeth, of Holland, Pa., and Stanley Peters of Winthrop, Mass.; a daughter, Priscilla Walton of Tampa, Fla., 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, Crystal-Lynne; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She will also be greatly missed by a dear friend, Brenda Duggan.  In addition to her husband, Ila was predeceased by a granddaughter, Susan Gulla, six sisters and two brothers.  Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Ellsworth.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellsworth, with the Rev. Scott Mower, celebrant.  Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.

Franklin Orman Peters:  Fluehr Funeral Home (PA):  Franklin O. Peters, of Holland, PA, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA.  He was 86 years old.  He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Voegele Peters; the father of the late Susan Peters and the brother of the late Stanley Peters and Priscilla Walton.  Born in Bangor, ME, he was the son of the late Franklin O. and Ila Boynton Peters.  As a longtime financial planner, he was the founder and past president of Delaware Valley Brokerage Services in Bristol, PA.  He was a member and past president of Bristol Rotary and a member of the Office of Special Investigations.  Franklin loved to travel; he and Elizabeth enjoyed destinations both domestically and internationally.  A kind-hearted and generous person, Franklin had friends all over the country and will be missed by many.  In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by his children, Catherine Craig, Franklin “Pete” Peters, Jr., Jeanne Darcy, Mark Peters and Nancy DuLong; and his step-children, Kenneth Heist, Jon Heist, Karen Heist and Kristine Pizzolo.  He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, friends and neighbors, including dear friends, Patricia and Rick Fresses.  Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 8:30am until the start of his prayer service, 10:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, Richboro, PA.  Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Franklin’s memory may be directed to Elizabeth Peters.

Stanley F. Peters:   Boston Herald (MA), Tuesday, 29 August 2017:  Peters, Stanley F. of Winthrop, passed away on August 27, 2017.  He was 81 years old.  Born in Blue Hill, ME, he was the cherished son of the late Franklin O. and Ila A. (Boynton) Peters.  Devoted father of Terry Kinlin and her husband Robert of Methuen, Stanley F. Peters Jr. of Winthrop, Kimberly Kinlin and her husband Kenneth of Methuen, Michelle Fielding and her husband Michael of Winthrop, Carole Wesoja and her husband Bernie of NH, and the late John and Michael Peters.  Adored grandfather of fifteen and great-grandfather of two.  Dear brother of Frank Peters of PA and the late Priscilla Walton.  Former husband of the late Eleanor (King) Campbell.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours will be held in the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home Winthrop, on Wednesday, August 30 from 5:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the Kaplan House, Danvers, MA.  A Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop on Thursday, August 31 at 10:00 A.M.  Please go directly to church.  Relatives and friends are invited.  Cremation to follow will be private.  Stanley was a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks #1078.
