Obituary:  Times Picayune, 14 February 1984:  Eugene B. Pitre, of Crown Point, La., on Sunday, February 12, 1984 at 6:20 p.m.  Beloved husband of the late Mabel Cassidy.  Father of the late Gerald J. Pitre.  Grandfather of Gerald J. Pitre Jr.  Son of the late Eugenie Cretini and Henry Pitre.  Brother of Mrs. Ophelia Pitre, Mrs. Jefferson (Delphine) Cheramie, Mrs. Clarence (Irene) Triche, Alex N., Robert A. Pitre and the late August, Henry and Louis Pitre.  Also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.  Age 78 years.  A native of Cutoff, La.  Relatives and friends of the family, also officers and members of William D. White Lodge No. 408, F. & A.M. and officials and employees of Jefferson Savings & Loan Association are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Homes Inc., 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La., on Wednesday, February 15, 1984 at 12:30 p.m. (A parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church.)  Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.  Parlors will be open Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Pitre; daughter of the late Elizabeth Pisani and William Cassidy; adopted daughter of C.C. Terrebonne and Louise Pisani; sister of Mrs. Louise Mendoza, Houston W. Cassaday, and the late Leonard, John, and Lea Cassady; grandmother of Gerald Pitre Jr.; age 62 years, a native of Morgan City, Louisiana and a resident of Crown Point, Louisiana for the past 46 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Jefferson Savings and Loan Association, are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from Mothe Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana, on Monday, August 31, 1970, at 11 o'clock a.m.  Requiem Mass at St. Joseph S. Church, Gretna, Louisiana.  Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.  Parlor will be open on Sunday, August 30, 1970 from 10 a.m. until 12 midnight.
