Obituary:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Saturday, 21 December 1996:  Pitre, Norman, 89 years suddenly December 20, 1996.  Late of Tecumseh.  Beloved husband of the late Blanche Lauzon (1994).  Dear father of Gene and wife Betty Pitre, Frank and wife Sandy Pitre, Tecumseh, Helen and husband Bob Cote, Windsor, Larry and wife Linda Pitre, Maryland, Rose and husband Ed Marceau, Flossie and husband Ken Mayrand, Tecumseh.  Dear Pepe to 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.  Brother of the late Clara Landry, Walter and Ernie Pitre.  Brother-in-law of Helen Pitre, Martha Lauzon, Alma Lassaline and the late Anna Pitre and Clara Predhomme and Isabelle Beausoliel.  Survived by many nieces and nephews.  Norman was a member of St. Anne Parish, a Chrysler Retiree after 38 years of service, a member of the Tecumseh Council 4375 Knights of Columbus and the Tecumseh Golden Age Club.  Visiting after 3pm Saturday and after 2pm on Sunday at the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel, Tecumseh.  The funeral service will be held Monday at 9:30 am to St. Anne Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.  Interment St. Anne Cemetery.  A Wake Service Sunday at 8:00 pm.  Knights of Columbus Prayers Sunday at 7:30 pm.  Memorials to the Alzheimers Society appreciated.  A tree will be planted in memory of Norman Pitre in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest.  A dedication service will be held Sun., Sept. 28, 1997.  All are welcome.

Obituary:  The Windsor Star (Windsor, ONT), Tuesday, 1 March 1994:  Pitre - Blanche (nee Lauzon) 83 years on Feb. 27, 1994.  Life long resident of Tecumseh.  Loving wife of Norman.  Loving mother of Jean and Betty Pitre; Frank & Sandy Pitre; Herman & Bob Cote; Rose and Ed Marceau; Larry and Linda Pitre; Flossie and Ken Mayrand; daughter of the late Alfred and Lucille Lauzon; proud grandmother to 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  Survived by 1 sister Alma Lassaline and predeceased by 2 brothers Ernest and Raymond and 1 sister Clara Predhomme.  Blanche was a long time member of the C.W.L. of St. Anne Parish and Les Dames de Ste.
