Obituary: New Hampshire Union Leader (Manchester, NH), 5 April 2003: Lucianna 'Lena' Croteau, 87, of Manchester, died April 4, 2003 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. Born in Lowell, Mass., on April 20, 1915, she was the daughter of Adelard and Elenore (Laforge) Gagnon. She lived 17 years in Somerville, Mass., and had been a Manchester resident most of her life. She worked as a stitcher at Mammoth Mills for many years. She was a member of L'Association Canada Americaine and Cours St. George. She was married to Elmer M. LaPete, who died in 1980, and Joseph S. Croteau, who died in 1996. Family members include nieces and nephews. Services: Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Candia Road. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
