Obituary:  The Bay City Times (Bay City, MI), Monday, 7 January 1980:  Edward J. Pitre - Mr. Pitre, 63, 511 Webb Drive, died Sunday in Midland.  He was born July 28, 1916 in Bay City.  He is survived by his wife, Florence.  Services will be Wednesday.

Obituary:  The Bay City Times Extra (Bay City, MI), Tuesday, 29 November 1949:  Mrs. Geraldine Wilcox Pitre, 30, died early today at Mercy hospital following childbirth.  Born in Bay City, Nov. 21, 1919, she had lived here throughout her life.  The family residence was at 69 Trumbull road.  She was a member of St. James church, the parish altar society, the St. James Woman's club and the League of Catholic Women.  Surviving are her husband, Edward J. Pitre; a daughter, Charlene Marie and a son, Gerald Edward, both at home; her mother, Mrs. Victoria Wilcox, of Bay City; a sister, Mrs. Walter Bieganski and two brothers, Hugh J. and Charles W. Wilcox, all of Bay City.  The body is at Trahan Funeral chapel.  Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 8:30 at the chapel and at 9 a.m. at St. James church.  The Rev. Fr. Daniel J. Wynne will officiate and burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery.

Obituary:  The Bay City Times (Bay City, MI), Sunday, 7 August 1988:  Pitre, Florence C. (Gillman), Bay City, Michigan - Mrs. Pitre passed away following a lingering illness Friday afternoon, August 5, 1988 at Bay Medical Center.  Age 72 years, she was born September 9, 1915 in Bay County and had resided here all of her life.  She is survived by two sons and their wives, Richard & Valerie Gillman of Freeland, and Daniel & Dolores Gillman of Bay City; a step-daughter, Charlene McInerney of Bay City; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Sarah and Jarrod Gillman; two sisters and their husbands, Donna & Jack Calcutt and Shirley & August Rudnick Sr., all of Bay City; three brothers and their wives, Harold & Romaine Birch of Allbright Shores, Ronald & Eva Birch of Midland and Wendell & Willa Birch of Bay City; her sister-in-law, Jean Birch of Bay City; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Howard Birch, and a step-son, Gerald Pitre.  She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.  Funeral services will take place Monday, August 8, at 9:30 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church.  The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Austin Schlaefer of O.F.M. Cap, with interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.  Friends and relatives will meet with the family for the Wake Service Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Memorial cards for St. Vincent DePaul Church are available at the funeral home.

Victoria Ann Pitre:  The Bay City Times Tribune (Bay City, MI), Thursday, 25 October 1945:  Pitre - Victoria Ann Pitre, infanta daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pitre, 218 Stanton street, died at Mercy hospital this morning at 4:30 o'clock shortly after birth.  Besides her parents she is survived by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pitre, Sr.; and Mrs. Victoria Wilcox, of Bay City.  Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1:45 o'clock at the Trahan Funeral chapel and at 2 o'clock at St. James church with the Rev. Fr. Daniel J. Wynne officiating.  Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Gerald Pitre:  Petosky News Review (Petosky, MI), Monday, 15 May 1972:  (Extracted from an article about weekend road victims)...Gerald E. Pitre, 22, Bay City, lost control of the car he was driving and was killed Sunday in Bay County when the vehicle smashed into another car.  His passenger, Francisco Alvarez Jr., 23, Bay City, was also killed in the mishap.
