Joseph Louis Napoleon Ulric Pitre:  The Gazette (Montreal, QUE), Tuesday, 20 May 1913:  Valleyfield, Que., May 19 - Following the coroner's inquest tonight into the death of Ulric Pitre, who was found dead in a room in a hotel here on Friday, the authorities discharged from custody George Tucker, of Montreal, who was being held in custody.  Tucker was blamed for having left Pitre in his room when he complained of feeling ill without having notified the proprietor of the hotel.  Had he done so, medical aid would have been summoned probably in time to save Pitre's life.  The evidence of the medical men who held the autopsy on the body showed that Pitre's death was due to heart failure.
