Mary Natalie 'Emeline' Pitre:  13 May 1995:  Mary Nataline Sampson, 88, Lower L'Ardoise, died May 12, 1995, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.  Born in Lower L'Ardoise, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Emma (Marchand) Peters.  Surviving are sons, Angus, Jules, Louis, Abraham, Ambrose, Ardoise; John, Massachusetts; daughters, Serena (Mrs. Walter Barrette), Del Morgan, Catherine (Mrs. Doug Romans), Angie Matheson, Agnes (Mrs. Howard MacLean), Halifax; Carol (Mrs. Wesley Eager), Cleveland; brothers, Alphonse, Morris, Halifax; sisters, Catherine Barrette, L'Ardoise; Serena Landry, Beatrice Briand, Montreal.  She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; son, Charles; daughter, Irene; brothers, Albert, Joseph, Daniel; sisters, Martha Brophy, Margaret Sampson.  Visitation 7-9 p.m. tonight, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday in L'Ardoise Parish Funeral Parlour.  Funeral 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Guardian Angels Church, L'Ardoise, Rev. Catherine Rebecca Peters:  4 March 1996:  Catherine Rebecca Birrette, 84, L'Ardoise, died March 1, 1996, at home.  Born in L'Ardoise, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Emma (Marchand) Peters.  Surviving are her husband, Murdock; sons, Albert, Gerard; brother, Alphonse; sisters, Beatrice, Serina.  She was predeceased by daughter, Elma; brothers, Albert, Joseph, Danny, Maurice; sisters, Emiline, Margaret, Martha.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of Alex A. Morrison Funeral Home, St. Peter's.  Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Guardian Angels Church, L'Ardoise, Rev. John MacIntyre officiating.  Burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, L'Ardoise.  Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or The Lung Association.

 

Beatrice PitreBriand, Beatrice (nee Pitre), 1919-2000, She will be sadly missed and never forgotten.  In Chateauguay on Monday, November 20, 2000 at the age of eighty-one, passed away Mrs. Beatrice Pitre, beloved wife of the late George Briand.  She also leaves to mourn her daughters Alma (Yvon Paquette) and Shirley (Gordie Pitts), her grandchildren Lyne, Alain, Chantal, Elaine, Maeghan and Chelsea as well as her great-grandchildren Karine and Gabriel, relatives and friends.  Resting at La Maison Darche, Longueuil.  Visitation on Wednesday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 5 p.m. and also from 6 to 8:30 p.m.  A Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 22 at 8:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Funeral Home, thence to the Darche Crematorium.

 

Mary Serena Pitre:  Halifax Herald, Thursday 3 February 2005:  Landry (Peters), Mary Serena - 1923 - 2005, passed away peacefully in Saint-Eustache, Que., on Tuesday, February 1, 2005.  She leaves behind her beloved husband of 62 years, Joseph Leonard; her sons, Cyril (Kaye), Joseph (Rita), Donald, Gerald (Helen) and Richard (Marge); her daughter, Sharon (Thanasis); her only surviving sibling, Alfonso Peters, Halifax; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  She will be sadly missed by her loving grandchildren, Allen, Cindy, Mark, Stephanie, Amy, Jason, Shawn, and Sabrina; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Melissa, Victoria, Julian, Madison and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews.  Resting in Guay Funeral Home, 146 Saint-Louis St., Saint-Eustache, Que., J7R 1Y2.  Visitation from 2-4 and 7-10 p.m. today and on Friday, February 4.  Funeral service in Holy Family Parish, 1001 Oka Rd., Deux-Montagnes, Que., at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 5.

 

Maurice Elias Peters:  23 June 1995, Maurice Elias Peters, 66, Halifax, died June 21, 1995, in the Halifax Infirmary.  Born in L'Ardoise, he was a son of the late Daniel and Emma (Marchand) Peters.  He was a member of ILA, local 269 for over 32 years.  Surviving are his wife, the former Loretta Pottie; son, Jerome, Williamswood; daughter, Brenda (Mrs. Gary Thompson), Hatchet Lake; brother, Alfonso, Halifax; sisters, Katie (Mrs. Murdock Barrett), L'Ardoise; Mrs. Beatrice Briand, Quebec; Serena (Mrs. Leonard Landry), Montreal; grandchildren, Brycen, Natalie, Kristy, Jillian.  He was predeceased by brothers, Albert, Joseph, Daniel; sisters, Nataline, Martha, Maggie.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax.  Memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Eric Theriault officiating.  Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to palliative care unit of the Halifax Infirmary.
