Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 29 September 2004: Dudley A. Pitre, 79, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 3:40 a.m. Sept. 28, 2004. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. today at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off. A religious service will be held at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife, Mazie Gisclair Pitre; sons, Morris and Tommy Paul Pitre; daughters, Judy P. Cheramie and Sally Ann Pitre; brother, Eugene Pitre; sister, Ophelia P. Lefort; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elfer and Romala Lafont Pitre; and sister, Adeline Pitre. He was Baptist and a member of Masonic Lafourche Lodge No. 422. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Tuesday, 27 April 2010: Mazie Gisclair Pitre, 81, a native and resident of Cut Off, died Sunday, April 25, 2010. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Tommy Pitre and fiancee, Julie Ford, and Morris Pitre and wife, Joyce Pitre; two daughters, Judy Cheramie and Sally Pitre; one sister, Nelma Gisclair Gordon; and one grandchild, Storm Anthony Pitre. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Antonie Pitre; her parents, Morris Joseph and Etacia Auntin Gisclair; and one sister, Arvella Gisclair Duet. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and dedicated herself to her daughter, Sally Pitre. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
